Star Wars Battlefront PC minimum specs > PS4

it requires the 2 cores (4 treads) of a i3-6300 a HD 7850 and 10gb of RAM (video + system RAM) for minimum specs, it looks like another game were PC lowest > consoles

But the i3-6300 has 2 cores...

This is Dice's first game to ditch the PS3/360 and DX10/10.1 support. If these requirements are accurate, they aren't that surprising, the HD 7850 is close to the PS4 and a bit better than the Xbox One's. Recommended specs are the recommended, it's just logical to recommend top GPUs.

CPU minimum is better than than PS4. It has two cores with two virtual cores and way higher IPC.

i cant find a benchmark for i3-6300, but price wise its equivalent to i3-4370 which is about 2x faster than the 6 jaguar cores used in consoles for games

You can guestimate. It has like a 10% IPC increase from haswell so probably 10% faster than the i3-4370.

970 is enough for 1080p 60fps in this gen unless you're going 2k or sth

@mjorh: Have a 4k TV.....actually played Mad Max at 4k 60fps with the 970 :P still want a nice 4k card though, hopefully they come down in price.

I own a ps3/ps4,Wii U , 3ds and a pc. These threads are pointless . We all know pc's are more powerful than consoles . What matters is that Battlefront or most other games can be enjoyed on multiple platforms . I guess you get off on stating known facts that pc's are more powerful than consoles ? Try getting out more, maybe you can find something else to occupy your time rather than pointlessly bashing consoles. Consoles , although less powerful than pc's do have some advantages over pc's .

Battlefront on PC has Mantle support though.

This and Mirror's Edge: Catalyst will be the last games that support Mantle.

Support of Mantle will be an issue since there is no more support from AMD. 15.7+ drivers has already started messing games up while using Mantle trying to record game play.

You guys are aware system requirements are almost always grossly exaggerated? My 7850 will play it just fine at medium settings 1080p. Book it.

Dunno about that, Ps4 is 900p with frame dips.

Then again i'm still here wondering how the 750ti is keeping up with some Ps4 multiplats, must be either a lack of optimization or a cpu bottleneck. Ps4 should get Vulcan soon to alleviate the latter though if it hasn't already.

Most multiplat games run a lot better on my 7850 than on PS4. I'm not worried. I'll give you an once I get it.

I am confused if this is supposed to be a knock on PS4 or PC gamers needing to fumble with settings to play the latest games. Good for PS4 owners and people who have overpowered rigs and sad for PC gamers who only have so-so set ups.

The PS4 version will look better then minimum settings guaranteed.

In all other respects I'm probably about 80-85% close to the recommended specs.

The beta doesn't even use more than 6 GBs of RAM, so no one should worry.

Watched some gameplay on twitch, dayum it looks slick on pc/maxed. But instead of being hyped for this piece of **** shallow fps (EA's answer to Destiny), im extremely excited for mass Effect 4. If ME4 has this kind of visuals...... oh maaaaaaaaaaan

You know that's not a real thing right ? There's no amount of software tinkering that could make a game work significantly better on console than on an equivalent PC.

The Frostbyte 3 engine totally sucks on PC. The fact that you need an SSD just to have load times on par with consoles is a travesty.
