Same score, but completely different games. It's like me comparing The Witcher 2 to Top Spin 4 to figure out the best racing game :/ And seriously...8.0 is a solid score, stop moaning.

Not the best racing game, just the best game. According to SW though they would be pretty equal. 8 is a solid score, its just equal to quality in Sesame Street is all. How hard is that to get? I'm not moaning either, 2 products I have no connection to getting the same score. Why would I be mad?
Also, comparing a great game for kids with a great online RPG is like comparing, oh I dunno. An awesome Pixar movie with an awesome Tarantino movie. Oh, go create your own dumb analogy since I am so bad at them. You get the gist. Great game got score that says "great." OMG CRAZY. But feel free to generate controversy. It entertains me :)

Do you not think standards vary between genres? A platformer which warrants an 8.5 isn't equivalent to a rhythm game which scores the same. Not necessarily aimed at you, but a general comment...

So they're the same genre? An 8 for a childrens game equals an 8 for an MMO in your mind? Wow..... (don't look her in the eyes...)
Even if they are both MMO you wouldn't compare the scores directly, Age of Conan got 8.5 here, but the general view would suggest SWTOR being a much better MMO.
I def. expected a higher score, I was bankin on an 8.5 or a 9.0, did not see it getting more than 9.0 but did not think it could get less than 8.5 either. The games main issue is that it sticks to gameplay that is quite similar to WoW (not an issue for me cause I only played WoW for 4-5 months when it released, and well havent gone back since). But other than that it is a great game, good story, good graphics and it is a lot of fun to play. Although I agree with KV when he says that space battles were a missed opportunity. Why did they not do something like Galaxies where the space battles were free like the X-Wing or the Rogue Squadron games. On rails is fun at first but gets old fast...

Shrug, in SW AA is AA. I don't really know what is difficult to grasp about that. They are considered equally good, the scores are both the same, they both contain qualities that make them 8 level games. (shrug)
