I agree. I don't understand the hate for SC2's single player. I thought it was absolutely fantastic. Best game of 2010 easily.

Not enough orcs, apparently.
Needs more Orcs in space.
On that note, can't wait for that new Warhammer game. Looks like a ton of fun.

I skipped all the dow2 games, no base building seems really unappealing.

Same here although I plan on getting Retribution. I was talking about the TPS action one where you play as one of those Elite Space Marines. Looks like a ton of fun.

Space Marine.
Thats the one. How could I forget the name of it
Relic is not good in making varied mission and having awesome presentation.

I'm sorry, I have trouble taking seriously anybody who says something like this. Company of Heroes has incredible presentation in all aspects, and has decent mission variety. One mission storming the beach, one setting up an ambush, another building defenses on three bridges and trying to hold out for 10-15 minutes under constant barage. Now I haven't played SC2 so I can't compare, but to say Relic is not good at presentation and variety is simply untrue.

Knocking relic for presentation is pretty weird to. Homeworld? COH? DOW 1 (not soo much two since I didn't enjoy that one as much :P)
I have to say I still love Warcraft 3 campaign, it's still one of my favorite all time games too, SC2 has an awesome SP and MP and takes the 2nd spot for me at least in best RTS games.
Starcraft 2 had so many different objective-based missions. They were varied, unique, and well presented. So far, SC2 campaign is one of the best RTS campaigns I've played. Company of Heroes comes to mind. I really enjoyed the CoH campaign as well. I also loved Warcraft 2 and 3.
Although I'm a big fan of the DOW 40k Universe, DOW2 was horrible. Extremely repetitive and all the missions were the same. It reminded me of Assassin's Creed 1. In DOW2, you go through the same maps, fight a boss in the end. Nothing about it was tactical like they bragged about. I was really looking forward to DOW2 as well but ended up being very disappointed. Not to mention, it felt like a budget game. No storytelling in a cinematic-style like Starcraft 2. No cutscenes or movies. DOW1 was sooo much better.

Dawn of war 2 was always lacking in many areas, but you should try Retribution. The campaign is so much better and interesting than the rest with its story. Its a great game and an obvious improvement over the past DOW2 games.
Richest? Lol...no, not even close.[QUOTE="chrion133"]
Zeratul, and Kerigan, especially kerigan, are two of the richest, coolest, most badass characters ever to grace a video game.
AdrianWerner
Richness as in they have depth and feeling and you actually care about them...unlike most game characters.

Maybe in the first game, but in the second they are stock characters at best, doing nothing but fit their predisposed archtypes with retconned personalities. It has the best campaign of its genre for this generation, followed by Company of Heroes and Opposing Fronts (Shogun II, Medieval II and World in Conflict aren't RTSs)... but it doesn't beat Homeworld, which can boast the title of having the best-written RTS story the genre's ever seen.
NO man. Company of heroes mission maps have the same color. Boring.company of heroes.

Relic is not good in making varied mission and having awesome presentation.
Past Blizzard RTS, while having excellent presentation for their time, are outdated in term of level/mission design.
Homeworld has better story than Sc2, but Relic's other RTS are all thin in terms of plot and of course, variety and twist in level/mission design.
No, CoH neither has better presentation than Sc2 nor does it have the same level of replaybility and diversity.
Dawn of War 2 is downright awful and boring. (campaign)
Warcraft 3 doesn't offer anything else but story progression.

I thought WIC and COH's campaigns were superior, especially WIC which did wonders with the story, soviet assault was good too but should have been released with the game. I found the missions and free to choose gameplay in SC2 alright, but the story was down right awful
I think DoW2: Retributions Ork campaign has a better story. It's simple, yet thats what makes it great.

Homeworld by far had the best campaign. World in Conflict is a close second. Starcraft 2 I would probably give third, it was incredibly well done in its presentation but the writing and missions just couldn't keep me interested. Homeworld is the only game I've played where I truly cared about little spaceships, everytime one of my fighters blew up I just thought, "Noooooo, he'll never see Hiigara! You monsters!"
