[QUOTE="Nikalai_88"][QUOTE="thrones"][QUOTE="randar23rhenn"][QUOTE="3XRatedlocc"]That statement made it bluntly obvious that you really haven't experienced the RTS genre. WH40K DoW is honestly fantastic, but it doesn't even come close to Starcraft in terms of balance and fun.I never played Starcraft, basically because it's a watered down copy of W40k.
I'm waiting on DoW2.

He meant story wise, which it is.
Actually game wise the story in SC is much better than in the DoW games, you actually have memorable events, characters and not only one great cutscene. I can't even remmeber the name of one guy from DoW, but I do remmeber, DeGal, Alexi, Kerrigan, Jim Raynor, Fenix, Tassadar, Mengsk, Duran etc. The cutscenes, especially in BroodWar opening and ending are amazing, and the events like the anime inspired Tassadars sacrifice are much more memmorable and better handled than whatever is in DoW. SC actually got a nomination for story of the year, DoW did not.
Also if you are to stupid to notice the differences between WH40K and SC, then I will not even bother. Oh and StarCraft is an AAA franchise where the original sold over 9 million copies and is still played by many all over the world, Dawn of War is an AA franchise that sold 2 million eaten up by WH40K fans.
40k universe>SC universe, no one here said anything about DoWs story.
stacraft is also 6 years older than DoW, so its obvious its sold more
The universe argument is pointless as we are talking about games, its not like the Halo books count or that it leads to a good story in the game, anyways DoW is not selling after three years and there is no way its going to sell as much as SC, its not even top 10 NDP or in any of the European charts. **** on AoE1, its not even an AA games, and **** on Sc being just a rush rts, nice to know that you never played more than a few minutes of it. Its like when 1up was interviewing Blizzard and they stated that there were strategies to counter a rush, the 1up guy looked suprised.
