It yet another of my Vs topics. So you know what to do. Now I put three games. Which one do you think is better. Starcraft, warcraft 3, or Age of Empires II? Choose between those three.

I'd say The Frozen Throne over Starcraft over Reign of Chaos. The map editor was great in TFT.

Why aoe 2? AOM was better... i think.. but i enjoyed aoe 2 the most out of those (aoe 3 was good.. just didnt have the same awe factor as AOM or even aoe 2 to me)

Warcraft 3 casue its the only one i own but also because it is a great game. and battle net and all the good mods that are out offer tons of replay value i never even play the campain any more just Battle net

I've played with people from Korea on SC before... it was over before it started. I have never seen dragoons built so fast in my life.

Anyone who thinks Warcraft 3 was good must really not know anything about RTS games, that game was pure crap cause the story line was weak and the gameplay was completely boring. Star Craft: Broodwar is still one of the greatest RTS games ever made, Command and Conquer Red Alert 2 was awesome and so was Age of Empires 2: The Age of Kings, WC3 was not even nearly as good.

The campain was awesome aswell. I loved the voice dialogue and the colorful 2D graphics. SC > All other RTS.

Ew AOM isnt better than AoE 2.

Why is there no AOM love anywhere... I think, and still think it was quite amazing, though the expansion did kinda mess things up (half the time it was a race to the titan, and 1/4 the time they just tried to zues cololssi you in the begnining). But, it was still such a great game.. i dont see why people regard it so lowly.

I enjoyed and still do (Age II) WC3, and Age II. Never did really care for Starcraft despite it's "OMG" status to some people.

Thats an opinion. Your opinion is not fact. A lot of people didnt like Warcraft III because they got frustrated micromanaging. The Warcraft III storyline was obviously good enough to spawn an entire MMORPG full of awesome quests. Thrall, Arthas, The Lich King, Vol` Jin, Illidan, Malfurion Stormrage, Tyrande, Kael` Thas, etc... all these characters are no good to you? Yea right man, they all rock. Maybe you need to play through the campain again.

Starcraft, no question. Best balanced RTS ever. Each side was so different, yet so equal, it was crazy.

WC3 is nice, but the units factions really lack that variation that Starcraft had.

I wouldn't play any of them today if I could (which I own). It's sooo freaking old. Only imbiciles will say those are better than current RTS games or played out the RTS-genre. Even so, Stronghold: Crusader easily topped them all with gameplay/values. AI is stupid though.

I played against them. I actually beat the low tiers one on the team then Park Jae Min showed me why they are Team SK... I use Protoss he use the Marines. Defense > Offense.

Don't like Starcraft much. Never could get into it. But Warcraft 3! Now that's an RTS. Age of Empires 3 was ok. Number 2 was a lot better though.

Starcraft had an awsome story line. It can't be historically accurate, as it's in the future,but all those characters and how they all interacted was amazing. Also the closing movies sent shivers down my back.

I still play AOE II, this isn't nostalgia, its a fantastic game. It simply truances any recent rts with sheer depth.

Don't like Starcraft much. Never could get into it. But Warcraft 3! Now that's an RTS. Age of Empires 3 was ok. Number 2 was a lot better though.Dark_Link142

I dont get it... Everyone says starcraft is amazing, and balanced.. but there's ways to completly destory your opponet in less than 3 minutes? I've never witnessed these.... That shouldent even be possible in death match, much less a normal game (in my opinion... it just seems... unfair to have ways to do that kinda thing) (though... i did start sending in troops in about 2 minutes on AOM DM... admitedly)

Dradoon Rush doesn't work with a good marine player, but pawns Zergs. Bad thing is if you build for the zerg rush, then you won't have any carriers to kill of the air attack for zerglings.

Rushes happen in every RTS, as you touch upon in your post.

True, but I count on my ability to Micro to try and get past his Marines. I usually have several zealots as backup to take out any potential threats. I love those guys. One can take out 2-3 marines single handedly.

Has Anyone tried a SCV rush? I tried it and almost failed. Good thing the other player was kind of bad.. I won with 1 SVC left out of 7.

I had play AOE II and it is fun. I try WCIII a little bit which I had fun too with that game too. I never play starcraft.
