Starfield vs Spider-Man 2, which will score the best here at GS?

Don’t know, don’t care. I just hope they both turn out to be great games and look forward to playing both.

I will give you an answer after the Starfield presentation. The only reason is that from what i am hearing, ID has been working on starfield to rework the combat system, and if that's the case, it could be a massive plus cuz from what was shown, shit was as wooden as Morrowind from decades ago.

One thing for sure, tho. There are zero chances i will even bother trying the trash that is known as the Spiderman series, while i do intend to play starfield heavily modded UNLESS its a yet another 4/10 disaster a la Redfall which i doubt will happen.

Could go either way.

Starfield might suck, bad. Spiderman will at least be okay.

Starfield: 7 or 8, Metacritic score 75

I think they'll both get an 8 on GS. Spiderman will probably have the higher meta by 2-3 points.

Can't say that I care about the score of these games. I am not interested in Spiderman 2 and I am just interested in what Starfield is about.

Would gander both would sit in the 80s.

Spiderman slightly higher. Because it works on launch.

Spidey cause it'll actually be polished/finished when it comes out.

Suspect Starfield will be the more interesting game though, even if its bad

For once, I'm gonna agree with @hardwenzen regarding Starfield's showcase next month before I can give out my thoughts or score as well. We already seen Spider-Man 2 in action so yeah, I see scoring an 8/9 as it looks really good.

Lets not pretend here, you have been agreeing with me a bunch as of late. People tend to agree with those who have 100% elden ring at level 80, an actual achievement i'd like to be mentioned during my wedding.

Thinking Starfield is going to be better,but SM2 is going to score better? Simply because this is GS. I feel that MS can invent oxygen and still be in last place. Wait n’see.

Hopefully Starfield gets an 8. I'm not going to presume it defeats anything or wins GOTY.

I think both games will score between 0-11, prove me wrong.

I feel like Starfield could get a 4/10 - 9/10, while Spider-Man 2 a 7/10 - 8/10.

Personally, I think both games will be shit.

Starfield seems like it could be GOTG or flop real hard. Spiderman on the other hand seems like it will be at least solid 8 and could go as high as 9.

Skyrim in space or a ubisoft-esq swingfest,miles Morales got a 7 I think spider-meh could match it

Assuming they'll both be decent, Spider-Man 2 will score better overall, Starfield will have more people playing it overall.

As a lem, I will admit that spiderman 2 will score higher for a few reasons:

1) movie game with lots of cinematic and qte

2) 3rd person shooter

3) based on the same template as spiderman 1 and miles morales. They simply just copy paste code

4) Sony bringing that brinks truck loaded with cash up to gamespot headquarters.

On the other hand starfield is a completely brand new game from Bethesda that hasn't been seen in 10 years. Bethesda rpg games are also known to be completely trash at the start and then get patched and modded to bring it to legendary status.

I expect starfield to score a 7/10 at best, but the mods and expansions will make it one of the best games ever made. People will be playing the game for a decade later.

Spiderman 2 will be one and done game, just like many movies.

I haven't seen much on Starfield. When I see more on it, I will have a better idea of my thoughts on it.

Spiderman looks like more Spiderman, but with the symbiote suit, which I am personally good with. Spiderman was a game I really enjoyed. The symbiote suit seems to unlock a whole lot of new moves, and that is what I am looking for.

In all seriousness though, Bethesda games always get much higher scores than they deserve, so it's hard to call which will do better.

Couldn’t care less what agenda driven GS scores a game, but I think generally speaking it’s likely Spiderman will score very high. I think Starfield is a huge question mark and at this time I smell a 7.

Spiderman will almost certainly review better, but provided starfield actually functions I'd put money that Starfield ends up providing more hours of entertainment, we'll see fairly soon if Starfield has made substantial improvements to framerate/stability.

Much more importantly, people will be playing SM2 for about 10 hours whereas people will be playing Starfield for 10 years... at the very least!!
