you realize ND was a dev long before sony made the playstation or entered gaming and released about a dozen games before Sony purchased them. A majority of the companies owned by MS, EA and Sony were once independent and then acquired. The only company who doesn't do that is nintendo. they just kind of do their own thing

Those devs got big as they are through their respective platform holders' money. Nothing is different at Bethesda (Zenimax) except being paid 7.5 billion to keep their games off other console platforms. Their operations are still the same.

Still wasn't created in house at all. That was the main point.

The fact that you'll be able to purchase it outside of GamePass means that won't happen.

If you want a Netflix style disruption then they'll need to exclusively launch it on GamePass.

tbh, Doom and ID software are by far the best thing MS took from the Bethesda purchase.

I like Bethesda games so I'm definitely following the game. But I typically don't get super hyped over a game until I see some gameplay and a smooth release. I can't foreshadow something as the 2nd coming of gaming without actually seeing what the game has to offer first. After all, the game could come out and be a collect-a-thon from hell with terrible gunplay, and glitches that make Cyberpunk on PS4 look like smooth, glitch free gameplay.
