Start up the doomsday clock for Sony

You people act like unless Sony sells more PS3's then their company fails. That's like saying if George Bush fails then the USA fails. Sony has movie division, TV shows, they make TV's, DVD players, BR players, and all kinds of electronics imagineable. The game division is just a side thing for the company.casey7672

Why does it come down to "survival"? :?

If the PS3 still sells sluggishly for another year, they'll just lower the price. It's not like if sales don't pick up....*poof*...the PS3 is gone, and Sony's just going to throw their hands up and forfeit the billions of dollars they've invested into the home console business.

What makes you believe if they have worse sales then they have already that they are going to cut costs for their system? If anything their price is not going to change. If they are doing bad they aren't going to cutcosts to make things worse.

only a significant one. a $50 price reduction prolly won't help much...

Sony cant cut the price they allready loose money on each consol they sell. MS on the other hand makes about 100bucks per consol they sell, MS sells games on a 10gb disk and charges $60, sony sells games on a way more expensive disk for the same price. MS charges for online and %90 of add-on content. MS is out for your money i hate it, and that is the main reason I bought a ps3 instead of a xbox.
