I have a feeling that GT5 wont sell as well as MK Wii unless PS3 has improved its fanbase by the time it releases. If you look at both numbers MK is pretty close to GT with MUCH smaller fanbases. Now put in the factor that Wii has an even bigger fanbase and MK is more popular than ever.
Regardless of everythin my money would and has gone to GT5P rather than a technicolour cartoon arcade racer with a fairy tale like cast.
Arcade racers can be fun and i had an absolute scream with MK64 but i would always choose a realistic racer like GT5 over the arcade games outthere, theyre just more fun if everyone playin is at the same skill level.

As the saying goes... "There can be only one." One game doesn't make a system great. For me, there were other games that were far better GOTY material... Bioshock, Mass Effect, CoD4 just to name a few.

if racing games were your favourite genre what realistically could you own on the wii, you might not like mario kart but its the only racer you're gonna get
however on the ps3 you've got a fair bit of choice, you arent limited to GT5

do your research first. All the NFS games, excite truck, excite bike, ridge racer (this one is just plain disgusting). I've probably forgot some though

If anything its because you dont like arcade racers while others do. Alot of people dislike the boring nature of a simulation game.

Wow what a biased statement.. So I am interested in Mario Kart so that makes me dumb?? Here I thought games was meant for "Fun" instead of being judged for it.. :shock:and that's the downfall of gaming.
