Steam hits new record with 12 million concurrent users

Steam is a great chatting service, i use it from time to time to chat with my gaming only on PC friends (who play nothing but league of legends) but i wonder if those active on it that dont even game count as concurrent users?

and oh wow im always surprised how counter strike still has a userbase is it because anyone can mod the game? is that why people still play it? or did a new counter strike come out?

Counter Strike: Global Offensive came out in 2012 with 18 million+ owners currently and is still getting constant updates(anywhere from 2-9 times a month).

Well everyone knows PS4 has over 800+ games to play.
