Steam and Valve in general are pretty much dead to me.

I don't buy anything from Steam its just a program I use now because it has the games I already have on it and the fact that GMG sells games via Steam key's... If it wasn't for my large library and the fact that it is growing on Steam I would never use it. Have no incentive to whereas before I really looked forward to the sales now I think I missed the last two.

I use Steam when I don't have a choice. But, if a game is available on both Steam and GoG, I'll choose GoG every time because no DRM is always better than any DRM.

Plus, I don't like dual-DRM. I prefer to just use Uplay or Origin rather than one of them plus Steam.

I dont care about DRM, literally none of the distributors other than Steam has the games I want.

The market seems to suggest I am in the majority.

Chances are many of the games you like, such as Kerbal Space Program, should be on GoG as well. Where GoG generally lacks is current AAA games. Gotta wait a while for those.

I checked, they dont.

they might have that game but not all the other 60 or so games I can use as example of what I am talking about.

besides, to be honest I like having all my games in one place and it works for me...steam that is

Uh yeah sure... as long as you BUY a subscription.

Steam still doesn't need you to buy a subscription to get good sales or to be allowed to play your games online.

@R4gn4r0k: I use both, the subscription on PSN is pretty worth it. I just do it to get 2 games every month. Mgs5, bloodbourne, just cause 3, ratchet and clank, Rayman legends, xcom 2, trials fusions. I've got like 40 games I've collected on my hardrive through having a subscription. But the psn deals are nice, I got strider, little nightmares, metal slug 3, and goat simulator one day for like 13 bucks. Steam used to be better.

Steam sales went to shit when they were forced to offer refunds by the EU and as a result pushing games with deep discounts became worthless because a lot of people just refunded the impulse purchases.

Does anyone really by from steam anymore? I buy most of my games from other sites for steam keys.

For the most part, if something is a decent price. Otherwise, I buy from GMG or CDKeys.

Steam is the biggest game store out there at the moment. Bigger than any retail store, bigger than PSN, Xbox store or Nintendo's store

Here is a list of all the countries where people use steam

From steam stats

Let me rephrase then...if you really want the best deals then you shouldn't be using steam as your first go to source.

Well sure, but there are some occasions where I'm unsure about a game so I'd rather buy it on steam, and have a chance to return it after 2 hours.

Than buy it on say Greenmangaming or a key site, and have my key tied forever to my account, with no chance of getting my money back.
