seems MS isn't happy with share price being halved ever since this guy took control in 2000. and now its rumoured that this is his last year at MS.

eh, Microsoft's problem over the last 10 years is that consumer hardware became the bigger selling point, back in the 90's computer hardware was never the selling point

this decade it's all been about software-hardware in tandem with form over function on the hardware side, and that's something Microsoft has never really been all that good at

that said, things are moving away from creative hardware design and back into software with stuff like itunes App stores and streaming services

i think they should get a fresh CEO anyways, as regardless of what the market decided Microsoft still hasn't been that creative

Meh, I believe Steve Ballmer took the position just before the dotcom bubble burst, so it's a bit unfair to peg the drop in market cap on him.

Although there does seem to be a lot of internal wrangling going on at MS.
