Still not convinced the Wii is stronger than the first Xbox

The xbox has such a big amount of games that looks as good as/better than wii games: HL2, riddick, doom 3, chaos theory, halo 2, dead or alives, ninja gaiden, conker. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few even then.The fact that after all this time the wii can't challenge whats basically 10 yr old hardware says a lot about it.

Graphics are unimportant, for me, because:

Controler + IR pointer >>>> Graphics

They heavily outweigh graphics, as I value Gameplay the most.

I just might pick up Move for my PS3 if it does stuff the Wii don't, and also if it's used in exclusive FPS's that are worth playing. Sony has at least realized what's going on, and I am a happy PSWii owner. I'd love Halo though from 360's side but I wont buy a console just for that.

Ninja Gaiden, Chronicles of Riddick(looks better than Doom 3 on Xbox), Halo 2, Rallisport Challenge 2 all look better than any Wii game.disismycomp

Blame Developers and Publishers for giving the Wii crap instead of good stuff.

If the Wii is better than the original Xbox then I'd like to see Developers give me something REALLY GOOD!

If 1% of Wii games look better than 99% of Xbox games then the Wii can output better graphics. So I agree with you.

That's part of the reason Wii can't get hardcore fans. Reggie made this a point of emphasis. It creates technical problems when 3rd parties try to develop for a console so unlike the modern technology on the 360, PC, and PS3.

They have to work within the limitations of the hardware. No developer is going to create a second development team to massively dumb down the engine/textures just so it can play properly on the Wii (and probably tarnish their name with an inferior port.)

It's actually profitable to develop for PC/PS3/360, so why would they bother with a huge unprofitable headache?

An accountant, actually. I measure profit and loss for a living.

Their accountants/devs are telling them not to take on unprofitable ventures like developing for Wii. Otherwise, they would have done so.

Being an accountant isn't as cool as having mansions and 4 wives, though. You really shouldn't dismiss people out-of-hand like that.
