You're right usually people get flamed for waisting SW space with rants-filled-threads... this will be no exception...
I didnt see you ask people to stop the bashing against Wii cause it doesnt have the visual quality like other consoles, or the PSP simply cause it doesnt sell like the DS, or the PS3 due to its price etc etc.... Your feelings just got hurt because people bash 360, i wonder why :)

Yeah and what ever! The failure rate of the 360 is disgusting and its not just RROD, E74, and seemingly random disk scratching. Anyone who has paid for more than 1 Xbox due to failures is pushing the boundaries of being foolish, anyone who has brought 3 or more of the things is actually plain ignorant of the competition and what it offers. I just cannot stand blind fanboys who will constantly repurchase the same console.I'm tired of people posting topics thats saying:" I'll get the xbox if it stops getting RROD but it won't happen" those want make me so mad and yes, Exclusives are a matter also. You know that the PC is a system made by Microsoft right? So technically they are.this has to be the most foolish comment i've read in this thread  The PC is not made by Microsoft! I'm not even gonna bother explaining cause if you think something like this you're beyond hope. So no a game released on 360/PC is not exclusive it's a MULTIPLAT!
Micosoft put out a badly designed console, their customers have the right to complain about it.Just imagine if there had been no extended guarantee, they would have lost millions of customers to sony. The fact they did not fix the issue and it still exists is reason why I will not be giving them any of my money.

If a game is programed to be played on windows then yes, it is exclusive to Microsoft. You must have thought that I meant ALL PC's are made by Microsoft, I actually meant the operating system. If it gets released on anything besides a WINDOWS PC, i.e: Linux, Mac, whatever, then no, it's not exclusive to Microsoft. But I've read that it is only being released on Windows.[QUOTE="loadedboon"] You know that the PC is a system made by Microsoft right? So technically they are.Trmpt

really?
I didn't know that, reason being I have never owned a Linux. Guess I'll take your word for it. I really don't care anyway lol, no need to get all defensive about it.
Here's the funny thing.
You CAN'T bash the X360 for being a faulty machine but you CAN bash the PlayStation 3 for not selling so well. :D Ha ha ha! The RROD is an actual problem which makes playing on the X360 quite inconvenient and insecure, whereas the PS3 sales numbers shouldn't affect the player in any way!

Not only that currently Microsoft are under pressure from the American legal system to explain why it happens! this is an ongoing court case thats been in the works for years. Watchdog in the Uk recently brought the random disck scratching back in the limelight dedicating most of the show to the seemingly random occurrence and Micrsoft denile of a problem. Thanx to this Disk Scratching the following games of my freinds are ruined, Bio Shock, Naruto Broken Bonds, Virtual Fighter 5.

No no no no no and no!
You can play many "Games for Windows" games on Mac or Linux machines, not to mention for those with difficulties there is software that allows you to run games cross-platform so to speak.
Games for Windows is just a brand slapped on games that adhere to a set of standards and compatability requirements set by Microsoft - it in no way means exclusivity, nor does it mean that the game cannot be played on other operating systems.
Microsoft receives NO revenue from games purchased for PC unless the games were developed by MS Game Studios or a subsidiary studio.

If you go back a bit you will see a post from me bashing Microsoft because of RROD. The first & 2nd time I got it I got my original back. The 3rd & 4th time with RROD I received different consoles & again when I got a faulty disc drive. That makes 3 & the fourth is my wife's Arcade console.

So there isn't any tweaking and configuring involved & you won't be taking a performance hit on some games?

If it wasn't for the four repairs to my 360, I wouldn't have bought the ps3. There is nothing else that I own that has broken so many times. I repaired two red rings myself last week due to having my extended warranty run out. So because of these problems, I prefer to buy multiplats on the more reliable system if the difference isn't major. But that aside...bashing the 360 is fanboyism and fanboyism is a disease.

So then a game that is only playable on one OS truly is exclusive to a PC running that specific OS. Just because you can use software to tweak a game to be playable on other operating systems does not mean it is not still exclusive to the operating system it was programmed for.
I'm sure someone who is educated in programming can reprogram a Xbox 360 game, write it to bluray, put it in their PS3 and play it. (This would be VERY difficult btw)
What I'm saying is just because you can use software to play a game on multiple OS's doesn't mean it is not still truly exclusive to its original platform.
PS.: Knowing that I can play a game on multiple OS's is good to know. I just had to correct you when you said that a "Games for Windows" game is not exclusive to windows just because you can use software to tweak it, when it is.

1) Splinter Cell Conviction is not a Xbox 360 exclusive. It's coming to PC.
2) The YLOD is not as big of a problem as RROD.
3) I agree that some people ignore amazing upcoming games because they aren't on their console. Alan Wake is a great example of this.

They are console exclusive or do cows always run for the pc when they need help.Same here. They knew about the problem but released the console anyway. That's the reason MS gets bashed. All of the lems defend it, but the truth is that MS is not interested in quality. Do you vote with your wallet? Yes you do. So, you are saying "it's okay to have bad quality" when you constantly buy from a company like this. Paying for XBL is another example. Why do you pay when others are free? They charge because you are all willing to pay.Micosoft put out a badly designed console, their customers have the right to complain about it.Just imagine if there had been no extended guarantee, they would have lost millions of customers to sony. The fact they did not fix the issue and it still exists is reason why I will not be giving them any of my money.
