Stop the MGS4 Graphics Hate!

I see a lot of people posting this same crap picture on Gamespot. Everyone knows the game looks nothing like this on an HDTV. Why can't hater just admit its an awesome looking game and move on.:evil:

The game doesn't look better than Crysis, but it is without a doubt the best looking game on consoles until Killzone 2 releases. Here's some screens representing what the game truly looks like when you play it.

I don't want to hear no "buh buh teh off screen shots". The truth is off screenshot represents a games graphics better because a regular screenshot can't capture what a game really looks like in person. So with that said, stop the hate on the graphics and the game itself. Gamespot didn't give the game AAAA and graphics of the year their health:?

No one in their right mind hates MGS4 graphics, they just want to look like they have the most powerful tech. BTW, I didn't think those screens you took were very good. In fact, my MGS4 looks way better than that.tktomo01

Gears 2 is the only game that comes close but MGS 4's realtime cutscenese still look better imo.

MGS 4 has great graphics, but not the best on the consoles, There are anumber of games that look better.

If you talking straight up graphics then it should of been Gran Turismo 5: Prologue or Fight Night Round 3. But MGS 4 is one of the best.

Well you got me there, in that case I don't know why MGS4 won. Maybe it had to do with artsyle as well and the presentation going from cutscene to gameplay. I'm only talking MGS4 in contrast to console games anyway and it came out on top over the other console games.

I think Far Cry 2 is more technically impressive then Crysis (not graphically) but it has real time fire, more destruction, and so much more that Crysis is lacking. Plus its well optimized I max it with full AA while Crysis crashes on my PC with AA.

All games mentioned here look great, and are at the top of their class. Stop trying to act all superior with your ultra-high standards. It gets annoying after a time.

I respond again: cut-scenes and facial animations! They're great! Environments are slightly (could be argued up to moderately with some doing, but nothing more) better on Gears, animations are HUGELY better in MGS4. Hugely beats slightly/moderately, and MGS4 wins.

Everything else besides textures, I have both games. Try playing the end of act 3 in mgs4 and you'll see what I mean. MGS4 has better detail, animation, and effects.

I will admit that the two are close enough to warrant debate and discussion, its just that I'm fairly certain only one side is correct. :P

Stop tallking about it, stop showing us screens, stop yelling in our faces about how great MGS4 is. Stop informing me of the exsistance of a game that is talked about so much I can't forget it. If it was that easy I would have done it already. You can't go anywhere in this forum without hearing about MGS. More so, are you all for the amount of MGS talk or are you just annoyed that I wasn't positive about the game. The hipopcracy is just unbeleivable, its like people forget so quickly. The cows were so fast to attack the sheep for constantly flashing SMG in every situation and now they do the exact same thing. The bothersome part was that when I was reading all the SMGOTY comments I was getting pissed off about how it was a shield to every arguement. Now the cows do it and forget what they were aattacking sheep for doing and I'm stuck watching it again. (sigh)
