Well the PC isn't a game console. PC's can be upgrade with better graphics card and consoles can't. So there's really never a reason to compare PC graphics to console graphics. The reason why console graphics are compared is because both the PS3 and XBox 360 have graphic cards in them that are of the same generation and are almost equal. So comparing song graphics is a fair assessment. At least with those 2 consoles. No one cares if the PC can create better graphics, as that's a given because there are always better graphics cards to do that.I own all three consoles (both handhelds) and a gaming pc. Unless you're comparing graphics between pc games, just....don't do it, it's a pathetic pactice, debating graphics on consoles that were released 4 years ago....very sad.
It's obvious you don't know what current generation grpahics actually look like on a pc monitor (wether that is an lcd monitor or HD television, my pc screen is a 50 inch lcd).
So just...stop kids.

Anyone saying that Crysis doesn't have the best graphics haven't played the game on ultra high and should just be quite. It's ignorant to bash the graphics of a game that you havent even played. Fanboys these days.

Ok daddy, just cause you said so. But have you seen FFXIII, its the most visually impressive game to this day. lol Crysis.

Final Fantasy 13 its not that inpresive at all They all look Plastic In Fact FFX CGI Look Better
FF12
So let me see if i got it. Youre saying this
Looks better and less plastic than this?
Ok.Whatever makes you happier. But the way i see FFXIII has the best CGI ever, then FFX, then 12.

ALL of those except the last one, are in game pics. And Crysis isnt a multiplataform 60 hours long console game. And Crysis isnt even impressive unless you play on max settings, and even on max its still not impressive. You will be seeing the same jungle and types of enviroments over and over and over again.
I think the lone Crysis pic posted on the first page of this thread blows all of your FFXIII screenshots out of the water.[QUOTE="Vesica_Prime"]
I'll start the inevitable.

It's technically impressive, but I would argue it's too much as far as textures go.
Yeah, too many textures for the console kids to handle, I agree. They're used to ground textures that look like Quaker's oatmeal.
That's a very valid point you make. For as much fervor that forumites argue about graphics, we are talking about hardware that is 4-5 years old! The current PCs have hardware that blows that away. No real argument there. As for the whole 360 vs. ps3 argument, I think its safe to say the ps3 should have better graphics. It come out a year later and was significantly more expensive. It's high end games do look better than the best of what the 360 has to offer. However, the difference is not very significant. Most games look and play about the same - in fact many better on the 360. For all it's hype, the ps3 hasn't real delivered the "blow the competition out of the water" visuals that were lauded before it launched.

mind showing us your lcd?are you using a tv screen for pc?you know you can get much higher resolution on alarge LCD monitor. 1080P for a 50" PC screen is sad.
btw why dont you talk about configuration problem on pc games? and how many pc gamers have to check system requirement everytime when they want to purchase a game? beside most of pc gamers cant max their graphics setting. this is just unfair for online game. on console, the only difference between online player is internet connection, however for pc gamers, they have to worry about hardware too, which could affect their performance online.
about graphics, well if you want to talk about pc graphics. i am sure 360/ps3's graphics is better than 80% of persoanl computer in the world.
your pc is not equal to everyone's pc. unfortunately, majority of pc have poor ability to run games.

The gaming PC and the work PC are two completely different platforms. PC gamers will upgrade their rig continuously, and most can and will achieve max settings for the games that they want to play. And if your performance is online is really related to your hardware, just turn down your graphics, or upgrade... no biggy.I don't think I'd have the patience, time and definately not the money to constantly upgrade my PC. Especially when my 360 cost me £200 and can still impress me graphically. It's not worth spending lots of money constantly, just so I can turn up the resolution on my £40 game.
Someone's really b*tthurt over the fact that a 2007 game still wipes the floor with all his new console games :DmirgamerI'm curious, if we really felt all that pained that Crysis is so overwhelmingly superior to our games... wouldn't we have just switched to PCs? It's not like we consolites can't find a Fry's.

It's not like we consolites can't find a Fry's. And hey, now we don't need to with Crysis 2 coming out. After all, PC gamers do like to state that Crysis is so much more than the graphics - be interesting to see what the fuss is about, aha.

The irony of this statement is that it is usually the Hermits that start debates between console and PC graphics.

Yep. There'll be a thread with "console graphics", and by the second page there'll be someone mentioning their PC.Please Log In to post.
