it restarts, when you change the TV channel, atleast for me.
this happen to others?
srsly WTF?

I'm going to create a sister thread entitled: Stupidest thing the PS3 does...
Seriously. A console can't do anything "stupid."
[QUOTE="Vaasman"]............If you actually own a 360, which I doubt, and you are actually having this problem, which I HIGHLY doubt, then there is a perfectly good 360 forum to discuss this issue in. Or you could just, I don't know, call tech support. Quite the novel idea if I say so myself. Here's the solution: Stop pretending your cable box is a 360, and go buy a real 360.

Are you using a Media Center remote?
After dusting off my old MC remote I found that it is able to navigate through the menu of the 360 and is able to turn it on.

The Xbox 360 has in IR receiver and thus can accept remote signals. I think RCA remotes work on the 360. If that's the case, I'd try a different remote code. :)I'm going to create a sister thread entitled: Stupidest thing the PS3 does...

Derr, its was programmed that way....so it has to do that stupid thing, meaning the 360's STUPIDEST THING! Uhm. I'm sorry, what?Yep, i own a 360 a PS3 and a wii...

Happens all the time, if the 360 is on and i change the channel just to check something (360 on pause)...it restarts, once i go back to my gaming channel (hdmi mode) it's restarted. I was thinking this was a normal thing with the 360. it seriously sucks.
This has never happened to me. Perhaps its your remote? You can pick any random gamertag and say it's your own, pics or it didn't happen.Yep, i own a 360 a PS3 and a wii...

yep i don't own one...
I laughed a little when I saw that. I didn't expect you to go take a picture, unless you already had that. :Pbe nice if someone could quickly try it and come back to me...have it on and just change the channel and see if it restarts. EyezonmiiJust tried it with all 4 remotes in our apartment, and it didn't do anything but change the tv channels. Did you try calling tech support?

photoshoped, lol just kidding. I'm not quite sure why it would do that. Have you tried using a different remote?
be nice if someone could quickly try it and come back to me...have it on and just change the channel and see if it restarts. EyezonmiiI have done that numerous times with all kinds of remotes (TV remote, Xbox 360 Media remote, my computer's media remote) and it's never happened.
This has never happened to me. Then again... I don't watch tv while my 360 is on, I play my 360 or watch videos on the 360 while my 360 is on...Jandurin
It never happned to me too, I sometimes change it to check something on the TV. But it didn't restart.
Now the PS3, when I change it to the TV, it grows legs and arms and starts to beat me up, delete all my save guys, and then restarts.

So your saying it could be an issue, hardware related or something? I never saw it as a negative...in that way, but Now i'm thinking its dam weird. My 360 works like a champ every other way, to be honest. So again, when you had the 360 on...and once you change the TV channel on the TV remote...the 360 didn't restart or flash? Throw a game in and go to the menu, then try it...please.

Also it still wouldn't hurt to try tech support, I doubt anyone here really knows what to do.

And why is it cows who mainly create these type of threads?
I have that model as well. And now that I think about it, I have turned power off and on on my tv and sound system and changed the input. I've never changed the channel, though. Power and input device changes don't affect my 360. I'll try changing the channel and see what happens tonight.he also has the exact model as me, the HDMI, 20 gig..one.

Like I already stated before in this thread, my MC remote is also able to 'control' some funtions on my 360. It's possible that your remote usesa similar code that is used for the 360. The only solution I see is to try to cover the IR receiver on your 360 (if your not using IR on it)Now i can back it up, looks like someone else has the problem....
