Are you joking? :?

Nope, meet thug pikachu, possibly one of the more ignorant of the people here though far from even being called bad compared to some people here, and he loves his games with no E rating.

you do realize that I can prove my point with direct gamespot quotes from the reviews of games like Gears, God of War (especially GOW) , and RE4, and I've already done it before right ?

Developers understand that over the top violence sells to a select part of the market no matter what. When your making a game that cost 10 million dollars you want to be assured that your going to sell to at least someone even if the game sucks hard.

On the other had there are countless games that don't have hardly any violence and are a ton of fun and sell like crazy.

over the top violence is simply fun when done right. I mean look at the Hydra fight in God of War

The Hydra fight in God of War was fun because of the cool button combinations that you used, .

which was over the top violence, slamming hydra's head into a plank then driving its brain through a wooden steak. what are you talking about . all the animations that went along with those button combo's were over the top violent acts. you just proved my point

I dont think I've ever seen a review talk so much about one single attack in a game as the chainsaw in Gears, ironically its also one of the most violentThug_Pikachu
I havent played it, but it seems to be pretty split while some people see it as a very fun weapon, and others say it is very cheap. But I wouldnt really know though :| But games like Zelda, Beyond Good & Evil, Metroid Prime or Prince of Percia (Dont remember if POP had blood) would you think the games were better if the enemies bleed or the actions were more violent? (And I know Zelda`s fighting is not very hard, so you dont need to point that out.)

The Hydra fight in God of War was fun because of the cool button combinations that you used, the cool control scheme, and the size and scope of the battle. In other words it had great gameplay and amazing visuals. It had nothing to do with senseless violence.

Violence is just icing on the cake. Sweet icing won't make a lousy cake taste good but it will add some nice flavour to a good cake. Bad metaphor, I know.

We proved all of eachothers points, none of us were in much disagreement to begin with. It helps in the right situations, but say a game about platforming, that's not helped with much but sheer gameplay mechanics and well desined worlds.

if ESRB rates this game AO..Suda51 just screwd themselvespoopinloop32

It's always possible, but then again, Killer7 was ultraviolent and had plenty of sex and swearing, and it got...an M 15+ rating here in Aus.
As long as this game isn't banned in Australia, I couldn't care less how violent it is - I just want another Killer7-esque game!

Sounds good. And those who are now getting mad that a mature game has finally appeared on the Wii, you should know which dev we're talking about here. Suda 51 makes violence nearly an art form. Just look at Killer 7 and you'll see what I mean. Suda 51 is not one of those devs who would just add violence for the heck of it. When there's violence in a Suda 51 game, there's a reason for it, and it's usually a good reason.

So does that mean this game will get a rating of AO. :o

PS3_3DO

I don't think so, Killer 7 had references to sex, violence, terrorism, and a bunch of political red-light topics and it still got away with an M rating.

I dont think anyone was angry that violent games were coming to Wii, but its the way he said that it will be more violent then Manhunt 2. I do understand what you mean about the violence in his games are almost art, and thats because he uses the effect so incredible well. But if he just ads it to beat Manhunt 2, it might get in the way of the art. Hope I explained myself well enough...

Sweet, I was waiting for more NMH news. Its weird though, some people who complained about "teh kiddiness" on the Wii are now complaining about violence. :?

How violent are we talking here? I know next to nothing about Manhunt.
