Suddenly the Pc and Wii U look favourable now thx to Ps4

After watching the boring presentation of nothing at all or the Ps4 unveil as it was entitled(i didn't see it) with all that was shown i thought afterwards 'well its either stick with the PC or buy a Wii U' because the ps4 looks boring! whats different? even the graphics don't entice. This could be the last gen of consoles if this lack of creativity keeps up. I thought the Wii U was a bad idea but seeing how the Ps4 failed to raise my interest i am now thinking 'yea perhaps a new way to play is required' because better gfx and more social networking is plain boring!

Sony's presentation wasn't THAT bad. That and I'm sure they're saving the big guns for E3.

That was a terrible conference; I feel like I wasted two hours. If the Wii U drops in price, I may get it in the near future. A few weeks ago I had no interest in it.

Umm... Troll thread much? I was expecting a minor update over last-gen systems, but the games they showed were phenomenal for a console. It was like looking at a PC title. Honestly, did you actually watch the show beyond the first ten minutes? Also, my opinion is coming from a PC loving, Sony hater. I've been against Sony since the PS2 days and I still don't like them.

People are so quick to forget. Does anybody remember the Wii U reveal? They showed absolutely no games what so ever. The "Revolution" reveal? Again, no games at all. These consoles will be on the market for a minimum of 5 years and the software library will change tremendously over time.

Yeah this makes perfect sense. Eventhough E3 has not came, and we have not seen an actual line up of PS4 games at launch or for the future it makes perfect sense to come to thi conlcusion. YOu are a genius.

and maybe 2 exclusives-killzone and final fantasy , which neither will be as good as the sony fanbase would claim it 

and we know ff 13 is not all that and a bag of potato chips

that  being said all ps4 has going for it now is power-just a coincidence- thats the same thing vita had and look where its at!

This is such a stupid comment seeing as how the PS3 still has a number of great exclusives left while the Wii is dead and the only good games on the WiiU are on the PS3 and 360. Did your mommy help you type that comment? FYi the Vita also has better games coming out not just the same rehashed franchises over and over again. Have fun playing Mario Golf while I am playin Soul Sacrifice ...next.

What the Wii U has coming definitely looks far more interesting, but what about next year, and the year after? I don't know if Wii U will have good support for the next 5-6 years.

I have to admit, nothing was shockingly innovative about the ps4. It looks like a beefed up, yet social ps3. If you want high end graphics the pc can do better, so what does the system have going for it? Well, I guess it has the cloud features but it doesn't seem like something that's going to be fully functional until late in the consoles lifespan.Ghost120x

Nothing was innovative about the WiiU and the PS3 is better than the WiiU so a better version of the PS3 is cool ...which is what they are suppose to do. It has Sony's exclusive games going for it like every other console has its own games? Are you really that senseless? What does the PC have going for it (I game on PC on Steam) besides power? The best PC games are on consoles so playing GOW, Uncharted and LBP on PS4>>>playing steam games on PC anyday. I wonder how long some of you people have been playing games? compared to the wii u simply playing catch-up and finally releasing a system with similar capabilities to ps3/360, only they added a new gimmicky controller, and the interface is extremely slow just navigating the menus? 

that said, here's couple of the things i really liked: instant boot, easier for development, very powerful (16x the memory of ps3), tons of devs are on board,

No that's what the PS3 do ! The PS4 for just passes by and throws some change to the wiiU so it can last another day !

I must admit the demos they show were boring,

Killzone, meh generic FPS game

Drive club, was kinda interesting until they talked about it being multiplayer and it looked kinda arcadey (not reaalistic), meh don't care how good a game looks if the game play is crap pass.

Final Fantasy, gave up on that with XIII, played it for about 4 hours thinking it was just a tutorial level then read in fact is wasn't then delete then game data and stop playing it, the last remnant was a much better game need more of that not this crap they think is good so not that hyped for it.

Knack... obviously aimed at children pass.

InFamous... maybe, I did like the first one although to be honest I liked prototype better.

Deep Down... looks like a demon's soul/dark souls rip off, if if anything like dark souls then they have me on that one was a great game, still not hyped as it was just early game footage that is probably not even real time.

Destiny... Another generic FPS, unless it's stalker like and open world then maybe.

Watchdogs... ubisoft don't exactly do exclusives, pick this up on PC instead looks good.

The Witness... OK looks like it should be geared more toward the Vita than the PS4 but what do I know.

They will have to show me some better stuff to get me excited ^^. The hardware itself sounds alright though if it's the right price that is.

I don't understand why people are content with paying for a next gen console "350" (which is alot of money (to me)), that basically runs next to last gen systems. The wii-u is going to have its good games that are made by nintendo  but more and more third-party developers are loving the ps4 so we are going to get more variety of games.

Nintendo is only good if you still like Mario and Zelda....I stopped liking them a long time ago.

What were you guys expecting from this show?  Its not even E3 yet.

The specs alone have me excited as hell.  The fact that they showed any games is just icing on top.

I think they did everything right except show more games, show us the console and tell us the price. There was nothing I saw that absolutely turned me off the console like banning used games or the system being completely underpowered. 8GB of RAM is awesome and developers will love the design of the console as there is nothing too exotic about it which means it won't have the steep learning curve PS2 and PS3 had.

Wii U more favorable than PS4? You must be on drugs on something.

I liked it.  8 gigs of RAM, that's simply nuts for a console.  Many high-end gaming PCs have that, and few games even utilize most of it.  And it's DDR5 no less.  Impressive.  And there looks to be some cool games.  Yea, some are just sequels but I think they show potential of what will be possible with future new IPs.  The Killzone presentation was stunning and a marked improvement from the PS3.

I don't care for the social stuff, never have, and the controller AGAIN looks far too similar to what we've been seeing for 3 generations now.  But at least there's no huge move bulbs on each side like rumored prototype pics were showing.  For a conference that isn't E3, they showed plenty.  For some strange reason, people expected this reveal to be as big an event.  Please, they're saving the big gun until then.  Now if what was shown here was their E3 show, I might be worried.  But even then it still would blown what Nintendo showed at last year's out of the water.

The PS4 details were very intriguing. Obviously the system is built for online only. ( people without broadband can just forget about PS4 because there would be no point in owning one ). But i for one cant wait to try all those features with the instant store demos, the spectating and remote gamer controls, and whatever that new features the fancy Eye camera will bring. Yes, the Wii U future line up looks incredible too, maybe not as technically thunderous as the PS4, but unique to the Nintendo system. I dont know about PC. Yeah, the games will always look great on PC, but there is just no excitement and feels like nobody is even interested.
