Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury is a 9/10 from GS! 90 on MC!

Nintendo does it again. Manages to achieves Must-Play status on a port haha. Also, it looks like someone was right - according to GS, Bowser's Fury is very short.

Thoughts, SW? Will you be picking this up? Mine is pre-ordered.

Well this is the game that launched my favorite Nintendo Character of all time (Captain Toad) so yeah it is a must have for me.

I'll grab it next time I'm in the mood for a 3d platformer. Still burned out from the Mario marathon.

One of my least favorite 3d Marios, but still a great game.

They should re-release SMG1 and then SMG2 for two additional 9/10 if that's how Nintendo is getting their AAA library.

You know, Nintendo are either a bunch of lucky morons who haven't gone outside since the 1990s, or evil geniuses to put the most dastardly of Bond villains to shame. Raking in whole buckets of cash by re-releasing a 7-year-old game certainly fits the behavioural patterns of one or the other - I just can't decide which.

Very nice, very nice indeed. Yeah I’ll definitely be picking this up myself. Really enjoyed the Wii U game and am looking forward to playing through it again on the Switch. Bowser’s Fury looks like a really cool and fun addition as well.

I may pick this up. Ordinarily say "wait for a sale", but that's not a concept to Nintendo.

And people think MT's are bad, yet paying the same price twice for pretty much the same game.

Getting this game for my daughter as she's been very excited to play this. Me, not so much.

This also reminds me that I still need to pick up that Captain Toad game sometime.

The real question is, are the additions to the original game worth $60?

The joke's on you, SMG2 got a 10/10 rating here. You wouldn't be giving the Switch two AAA's but one AAA and one AAAA. You would be responsible for giving Switch anther AAAA game and leaving Loserstation 5 further in the dust.

I think the question: is the quality of the package worth $60? I thought the game on Wii U was worth it at the time, as the base game was packed with content and platforming fun. I'm aware most gamer's likely skipped out on the game because the Wii U was a failure. I don't plan on buying the game again but if you're in the camp of people that never got to play the game and you're asking is it worth buying? I say yes it is worth your time.

Agreed, they should go to Pikmin, Donkey Kong, Bayonetta and New Super Mario Bros U threads instead, which are just Wii U ports.

I know it got a 10, but that doesn't automatically means the Switch version would get the same score. And i beg of you, stop calling my Playstation 5 the Loserstation 5. Its aggravating.

You thought to see improvements? Keep on dreaming. Its a direct port of the original with additional ugly shimmering not even seen on the WiiU, a console from almost a decade ago. $60 btw 😊

No you are wrong default would be 10/10 but it will be the historical first 11/10 game because it will come with Bowser's Fury Remastered.

I played it on Wii U years ago but it's been long enough I'm ready to give it another go. I read that they sped up the movement which was always one of my complaints about the original. Also looking forward to Bowsers Fury and playing it in handheld mode!

That question that I put out, is for folks like myself who have played the original game. The question in itself addresses this.

Look, all I'm saying is SMG2 is going to be 10/10 default and likely 11/10 under the right circumstances, it would be a historical win and a new kind of tier race.

Companies will no longer strive for 9/10 games. 9/10's will become the new 8/10 or even 7/10 games to some eyes.

This will be the new future of game development, the race for 11/10 scores.

This one's a big maybe for me, I didn't play the original and I wanted to. Definitely not buying now, I have enough games on my plate, might check it out someday.

After doing two full playthroughs of TLOU2, my life changed.

And don't kid yourself, the only 11/10 (possibly 12/10 or even a 12.5/10) is Elden Ring. Nothing comes close and i don't want to hear any excuses.

I played through it on WiiU- a lot of fun! While I haven't played it since that winter break I got it and played all the way through it back then, I'm not feeling like I need to run out and buy it as soon as I can.

If I get that urge then I'll go buy it. If not maybe it'll be 30-40 this year's holiday season?

You're missing the law here, buddy, are you unfamiliar with the "Nintendo Spike" policy? Every Nintendo game gets an extra 1 and sometimes 2 points just for being Nintendo.

That means Elden Ring has a steep slope to climb. I'm not saying it's not possible but it don't got what NintenDO.

I didn't like this one when it launched on Wii U. Doubt that will change with the addition of BF. It felt like a sequel to 3D Land that should have been on the 3DS. Everything felt so small compared to what had come before it in Galaxy 2. I'll stick with Odyssey and my emulated Galaxy games for now.

Answer A) [You already played the game] Double-dipping is your personal choice. I don't think an expansion is worth it unless you already love the game enough to own again. That at the end of the day is your subjective enjoyment of the game you already played.

Answer B) [You have never played the game] Yes, it is worth your time.

Firstly you didn't answer the question. Stating is a personal choice does not address the question. Secondly your second "answer" has no relation to my question which was already stated. Super Mario 3D World is very underrated and i'm going to say it was better than Oddysey and maybe on par with SMG (Galaxy 2 is definitely the best 3D Mario though). Nice to see it still holds up, don't know if i will get it since i pretty much got 100% on the WiiU and i doubt Boyser Fury is worth the price ... still, it is a great game.
