QFT. It was such a fun game, and very innovative controls for it's day.

SolidTy

Wasn't it the first game to use both analog sticks?

I mean you had to have the dualshock controller to play it.

Well, no, but it was the first game to REQUIRE Both analog sticks. :P You couldn't play it without a Dualshock, but it was well worth it. I bought it for $40 the day it first came out (back then games came out for PSOne for $40, and N64 games were $60.)

I remember it got a lot of hate because people were like, "WTF is this Two analog crap? That's unpossible to play!!!1!"

Times have changed, but it was very innovative for it's time, and very fun. The gadgets, the platforming, the charm.

Yeah I still have the game and at the time it was pretty innovative and very underrated. The mini games were fun too.

BTW what's your favorite gadget? Mine was that Pucnhing glove spring. I loved using it against the apes.

That was a great gadget.

The Water Cannon in Ape Escape 2 (2001!), The R.C. Car was cool in Ape Escape 1, and using that radar sure helped out finding every monkey.

Lol the R.C. car was ridiculously fun to use, especially on the apes.

Great now I feel like playing it again lol. I think I still have to beat all the time trials.

I chose Banjo series, while I accept that Mario 64 is a a really important game, I never got into it. In the old Mario games you progressed from one level to another, one world to another, but I couldn't get into running around the same level to capture stars, I just thought that was boring.

Banjo games are easier but theres more of a sense of progression that I at least agree with. I loved the graphics style as well.

Just my opinion and I appreciate Mario 64s well derserved place in history as a landmark title.

I actually like the fact that you chose Ape Escape. One of my favourite PS1 games, it really is a fantastic platformer.

The different personalities of the monkeys really makes this a great game.

To those saying "Why not Crash Bandicoot?", the highest scoring Crash Bandicoot game was an 8.9 (at GS) while Ape Escape scored 8.8 here so it's pretty close between those two.

Mario > Banjo > Ape Escape Though it's cool that Banjo is in "HD" now.

Super Mario 64, the epitome of 3D platforming. Got a 32" SD television recently and dusted off my ol' N64, great game :D

Super Mario 64 is one of the reasons I want a Wii.

Banjo Tooie, never played the sequel but I know the original is my favorite 3D platformer of all time.

Ape Escape, never got into it - when it was released I remember my cousin picking it up and I tried it out, then went right back to Resident Evil.

Ape Escape was a lot of fun. I liked Mario 64 better, but AE was no slouch.
