3D:

  3. Super Mario Sunshine

I have yet to play Super Mario 64 so I didn't include it. I seperated them because I chose best 2D titles and the best 3D titles.

So people are not allowed to have opinions because of "nostalgia" I bet no one here has even finished Mario Galaxy 2 and they already praise that game as the best Mario game. I find it to be excellent but It sure as hell didn't leave the same impact for me as Mario world and Mario 64 did.

I enjoyed it! Especially the hidden levels without FLUDD and the atmosphere was perfect. Too much coin collecting and the awkward camera angles killed it at times for me. It's just that the other games are of such higher quality. Being the "worst" Mario game is still better than the majority of games out there.

I haven't play Super Mario Galaxy 2 yet, but I felt rather tired and bored of Super Mario Galaxy near the end of it.
