So, your basing your opinion off you playing smg yourself, despite all the negative comments, but you won't give mgs its praise because of from what you heard?Suicide your account, that's failure and hypocrisy....

From what I heard smg was a little kiddy game as epic as it is it was a good game...so, can the same go for me?Since i heard smg was a little kiddy game, let me take that opinion without playing it, but ignore what someone says about mgs4, and go ahead and say it's superior...that's fair right?Because that's basically what you've done...

You can't compare mgs and galaxy, anyone who says anyone of them are better is pure opinion, forget ratings, forget scores, forget everything, this is halo killzone, gt forza, or any of that, these are two COMPLETELY different games who couldn't be more different than one another in any way possible, nothing is similar on either of them, I'll tell you what, I've played Galaxy, but not mgs4, and galaxy was so insanely fun.The colors, the graphics/art **** wave riding on the stinger was so much fun, I played it briefly and had a freakin BLAST..the game was amazing..

Having just finished and enjoyed MGS4, I have to agree. I'm a big MGS fan and I wasn't disappointed by MGS4 at all, but for me, Super Mario Galaxy was just more captivating throughout. With a few exceptions, that game stayed entertaining and at times downright amazing from start to finish, while MGS4 had a parts where I felt like I was laboring through just to advance. Not to mention there were some cutscenes that were absolutely a chore to watch. I'm not talking about the action or character-development parts, but the ones that were presented like Power Points to explain the technical stuff. A part like this almost literally ruined what should have been an emotional apex at the final scene.

But MGS4 is my second favorite this gen, so it goes:

1. SMG
2. MGS4
3. ...Haven't thought about it.

MGS4 does have a lot more replayability though, and I'm not even including MGO in that.

So what if GTA IV and MGS IV got tens here. Who cares outside of this small population of GS posters? SMG offered new physics never done before in a game. What did GTA IV bring new to the formula? Actually it removed tons of great gameplay from the series. I admit I've not played MGS IV but I've not heard of new and industry-changing gameplay from anybody, if it does please inform me of it.

All of this is just my opinion of course, so please feel free to add yours if you like.

There is nothing new about the physics in SMG. Actually, the physics engine in SMG is pretty poor compared to most complex physics heavy games. There was nothing in SMG that had never been done in gaming before, just a few things that had not been done in a Mario platformer before.

If you enjoy it, good for you. If you think its the best thing since sliced bread, then thats your opinion, your welcome to it.

I'm just pointing out its not new, high tech, or innovative from a gameplay standpoint. That of course has nothing to do with how fun you may think it is, or is not. I was just correcting your statement about "never done before in a game." You should have wrote "never done before in a mario game."

He didn't mean technological physics but how the game physically plays. It does a lot new and is very innovative. Seriously, name anyother game that the new elements of SMG copied.

Now name the new gameplay elements of GTA4 an (door) MSG4

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:.........................Oh wait, you were being serious. Well thanks for sharing your opinion.

actually if you check metacritic and GR, you would notice that SMG has a higher rating than MGS4.

so its not just his opinion...

I missed the part where I said it was just his opinion. I don't care who shares his opinion, it is still :lol::lol::lol::lol: to me.

I agree. Although I can see why MGS4 and GTA IV got 10's across the boards. Most game reviewers on the internet are into those types of games and its no surprise that they would get rated as they did. MGS4, I think, is pretty deserving of its score but GTA IV was a dissapointment. To me it felt like any other GTA game. I dont know it was nothing special.
