1) Both SMG and LBP look like they bring something new to the plate. So a Tie. 2) Well based on the videos i would say that LBP looks fun if you have friends or others to play with, and SMG looks like a fun single player experience. 3)Hard to tell from just the videos right now and i don't like the idea of getting owned later on. To hate on it means I would be bashing it straight up. I'm merely bringing up valid questions on the game since everybody seems so ready to praise it. no u are hating . yet u praise smg and u know what about the game, that u jump from planet to planet every 2 secs
I can praise SMG because I know what a Mario game plays like. I can't mindlessly praise LBP because I haven't played it and what they shown has it's own set of problems.
Stop complaining about constructive criticism. I'm addressing things that are valid. If you want to walk around blindly ignoring potential problems with LBP, that's not my problem. there was only 1 good 3d mario game and that was 10 years ago . so dont praise a game thats been good 1 out of 2 times . Last I check Super Mario Sunshine was 8.0 "great"....
To be frank IMO SMG just feels like a platformer I could not have experienced before, specially taking into consideration that we probably have not seen much about the game and the huge platforming possibilities the game could provide. I mean, just use your imagination. Take the possibilities you have seen from the recent videos, plus the Wiimote input and they are simply endless for the genre, or the crazy things this game could actually achieve. Then again it could turn out to be not as good as I'm making it sound, but the possibilities are definitely there.
I really can't say the same thing about LBP. IMO its that kind of a game we could have played years ago and actually some games have indeed used that user line of creativity numerous times, maybe not on the same way this game is doing but it just doesn't feel light years ahead in terms of offering's to the video games industry in comparison to other such games.

A) Which one looks more innovative? Galaxy. Videos of little big just reveal side-scrolling platformer with tomba-crossed-with-zelda-4swords puzzles. Mario galaxy has you bouncing around the univers taking advantage of gravity and riding comets. It's the next big step for mario. B) Which one looks more fun? This is debateable, but after so many level designs I feel that Mario Galaxy will simply have the highest capacity. What greater room for content is their than a galaxy? C) Which one do you think will score higher on GameSpot? Galaxy. My above answers point it out as potentially the more fulfulling title. D) Do you like tacos? Yes, I even went to Taco Bell a day after they re-opened after the poisening incident.
Ｉ ｔｈｉｎｋ they are too different to be truely compared. Mario Galaxy gameplay consists of mario jumping and flying to different planets. LBP is a co-op platformer with side-scrolling gameplay. So they are very different.ChimTheGrim21

Now, i don't know who in the world would think that sunshine had control issues. The game controlled almost flawlessly. Camera is debateable i suppose, but control? Not bloody likely. A retarded monkey with crooked thumbs could prolly control it perfectly.
