Why havn't you been banned yet? All you ever do is troll. And, in case you have yet to realize, Brawl is an amazingly fun game. Which si what matters. That being said, I do think that Spore will take GOTY this year, and LBP will be a close 2nd.
Why? Well a 9.5 in the shallow party genre has no chance against the 9.5s that'll be in genres with high standards. Hell, even an 8.5 in the in any other genre would have a better chance at GOTY than Smash Bros.
Regardless, with Spore and Starcraft guaranteed 9.5s (and being in the highest standard genres), your button mashing shallow party game has no chance. Lets not forget that even if Metal Gear Solid 4 and Little Big Planet flop (8.5), they will still beat out Smash for GOTY due to higher genre standards.
Enjoy your 9.5 sheep, but Smash has as much chance of getting GOTY 2008 as WarioWare: Smooth Moves did at getting GOTY 2007. Shallow party games simply can't compete.

The three qualifications of a fighting game:
1. Fighting one or more opponents in an arena-like setting (SSBB qualifies) 2. To win you must defeat your opponent by attacking him with primarly close combat attacks (SSBB qualifies) 3. Every female character in the game must have a pair of boobs that can fill a C-cup and move up and down realistically when the character jumps around (SSBB does not qualify)
ROTFLMAO at the last one!!! Here are two more!
4. All male characters must be musle bound, 6 feet tall warriors with six pack abs and bulging tricips! (SSB does not qualify....wel, maybe Snake in SSBB)
5. There have to be at least a Bruce Lee and/or Jackie Chan impersonator in every game (SSB does not qualify)
