And as for your second sentence: you're just hilarious. There are other OS's other than Windows, you do know this, right? Some games don't require Windows, some do. Many PC gamers use Gentoo (Linux) or other Operating Systems. It's funny how you think all computers use only Windows.

Alright, I think nobody is disputing how great the initial sales for Halo 3 were, but the Brawl numbers are impressive and I'm sure it pushed Wii sales up a bit.

Halo 3 - 2.4 million on day one worldwide, about 7.5 million overall... the majority in North America.
Brawl - 1.3 million on day one (Japan and NA combined), about 3 million overall... split between Japan and North America.

Brawl won't beat Halo 3 in that crucial first week, but Brawl has legs unlike Halo... I'm expecting Brawl to surpass Halo 3 at some point.

But it won't matter once GTAIV comes out.

I know it has heavy marketing but the fact of the matter is even Halo CE which didnt have anywhere near the marketing of H3 sold more than Brawl on day 1

Im not trying to take anyway from Brawl it's very impressive and deserved for a great game but why all the denial in this thread its obvious every game isnt going to sell as well as Halo or Gran Turismo etc. but even coming close well sorta is a great accomplishment as well

Why are so many people off on the Halo 3 numbers? It sold WAY more than 1.2 million day one. It sold 2.45 million day one with 1.8 million in the first 8 hours.

SSBB's worldwide first week sales is very comparable to halo 3's first week sales

difference is that halo 3 only sells well in NA, while SSBB sells well worldwide

for that reason, it looks like when it's all said and done, SSBB will outsell halo 3 worldwide
