How many people that are excited about SupCom on consoles have even seen gameplay of the game. I'm sorry, but if there is ONE RTS that can't work on a controller EVER it is SupCom. Chris Taylor needs to figure that out soon before he ruins Gas Powered Games reputation.... Seriously....horrowhip
Then he could put it on the PS3, since the PS3 can use KB/M.

Ok. But that still won't change the fact that 99% of the PS3 owners can't / won't use a M+KB and as a result, GPG's reputation will be ruined because people will say the game sucks. Thats pretty much a fact....
How many points lower do you think it will score on consoles? .5? 1? 1.5? Needless to say, that review is going to be hilarious.agentfred
it honestly depends. GPG's is going to have one **** of a time creating controls for it... Specifically since it would be their first ever console endeavor anyway... I honestly believe it would be an7.5 game because SupCom is an amazing RTS to begin with and even if the controls sucked next to the PC version (which is easily the best RTS controls ever and I doubt anyone would disagree), it would still be the deepest RTS on consoles...

Will that work? Won't they have all the commands mapped to several buttons, and so won't the keyboard be limited to the same number of buttons? I would think that's how it would work out, but I don't know much about this, so correct me if I'm wrong.

The PS3's OS supports full KB/M and the game would just have to port over the buttons from the PC for the PS3 version and have an option to use the controller.
[QUOTE="rimnet00"][QUOTE="horrowhip"]Let me put this lightly. SupCom is a ***** to play with 50 Hotkeys and a mouse set at full speed. The maps are MASSIVE. How the **** is that going to work on a controller. If there was ever one RTS I KNEW 100% would never work on consoles it was SupCom. I KNEW. It is rediculous enough managing 1000 troops with a M+KB and every key on the keyboard set as a hotkey, but holy crap... A controller? Never in a million years.

no... that just won't work. Believe me, SupCom and consoles are something that need to be seperated at all costs, because if they somehow attempt to merge, you will get a game worse than Superman 64
The hermits lose another Exclusive PC game. :D

If that works out, awesome. Anyway, won't the 360 version be forced into a really poor control scheme? Not to mention that 99% of PS3 users will be forced into the same predicament.

and how do you know that? Also, how do you know MS won't try and get Halo 3 out for Vista soon so it doesn't get itself laughed at 3 years from now like with Halo 2 Vista...
Supreme Commander will bomb on the consoles. Quote me on that.the_ChEeSe_mAn2
