No, you don't understand. CoH is very different than this game. Not just different units and little things like that, but gameplay forbidden>

What is the point of an RTS that was meant for MP?

Was Starcraft built for MP?
Was CoH or CC built for MP?
Or course not because they are all great RTS games that realized that MP should spawn for a solid single player game.

You keep saying SC was built for MP and that is saddening.

It was. Just as D2 was built for MP. They happened to have good SP stories that you might play through once before moving on to Battle.net. Do you remember how blindingly stupid the SC AI could be? How easy it was to abuse and break it? And how much it cheated as far as knowing your location, etc? Most of Blizzard's focus on the game, aside from having a well-crafted storyline, was making it balanced and fun for multiplayer. All IMHO, of course. :)

Im going to get it but i just want to know how well my oc will be able to run it. I have a.. P4 3.0ghz 1 gig ddr2 ram x1950xtx 512mb radeon , i know ill be able to run it but i want to know if i have to do it on med or high settings.

7800GT, 2GB of RAM, C2D E6400.

I believe you then, I heard that the single core cpus suffer in this game because it is multithreaded or w/e it is called. I have a 8800 GTS, 2GB of Ram, and C2D E6600 and it runs silky smooth at 1680x1050.


what 8800 GTS do u have ? 320mb ?? or 600 ?

640mb 8800 GTS, it was $450 when I bought it and now it is only $360 with mail in rebate.


You kids and your high end computers. I'm running this on a 9550, P4 2.8 and 512 MB of RAM, and the demo ran great on lowest. I did get confused with it at first, but thats because I'm so used to Starcraft forbidden>

medium at most i predict. sry, but you RLY need dual core to run in high, but if its any help the game looks very nice in medium :) (thats what i run it at). as long as its not in low its fantastic looking.

I do not care about what it scores at GS, in my opinion, there is defiantly nothing better than Supreme Commander coming out in the month of February. Therefore a purchase will be well justified.

Agreed. Two months straight two amazing RTS's are coming out, SupCom and C&C3(hopefully). I just hope that C&C3 isn't dumbed down due to it being multiplat.

Two different teams are working on C&C3 so I would not worry about it that much, but EA is no Westwood and balance could be an issue.

I can't wait for Sup Com. One of my most anticipated games is finally being released. Hopefully it'll be my next "Starcraft"; the next game that I will be addicted to and spend thousands of hours playing.

Tough nuts nuts for him i guess...I like TW a lot but that isn't an excuse to bash every other RTS IMO.

This is the best RTS game I have ever played, better than CoH, better than, dare I say it? C&C. It's hands down the best game of feb.

a Warhammer 40k mod would be cool too. With the scale of this game, someone could add titans to the mix.

I agree, a Warhammer 40k mod would be a great idea. We would finally see a battle the size of which Warhammer 40k is all about.

True, the same was said about BF2 if I am not mistaken and it does not have as many mods as I expected.



It has some awesome mods and user created maps. Project Reality and PoE2 are amazing. Same goes for the Tactical Mod. There are A LOT of user created maps that I love much more than the official ones.
