Has anybody ever had a Coke and Bailey's? God, it's the weirdest drink.

I don't really mix drinks. Dilutes the taste of the alcohol. I only do it for Godfather, which I think is a great drink when I go to bars. But if I'm at home or at at a friends or a house party, I drink the alcohol straight.
I do know a lot of people say they like Jack and Coke. That's a load of crap. You need to have Jack and Pepsi. The Pepsi makes all the difference in the world to the taste of the drink. Granted, bartenders still give me a weird look when I specifically ask for Pepsi instead of Coke, but they're totally missing out.
Rum and Diet Coke is where it's at. I was at a bar once and ordered a Rum and Coke and the bartender told me to try it with Diet Coke instead. I was like "WTF?" He went on to tell me that mixed drinks are always better with a diet soda (if it applies). It tried it and he wasn't kidding. It's nothing mind blowing but the difference is subtle enough to make it just "that" much better. I haven't had a mixed drink without diet soda since. But I agree, straight it where it's at. Captain Morgan's Private Stock, I can drink that stuff all day long.
Rum drinker? I'm more into whiskey. Sometimes I have cognac, but that's only if there's no whiskey around. I might just have to give my Jack and Pepsi a Diet twist now though just to see what the fuss is about. This Friday might be a good day if I go out to give it a shot.
