Do such against an actual opponent? I dunno. I suppose Lvl 32 Potemkin should atleast be able to slightly simulate the whole "on your toes" type feeling.

I just get really nervous. It took me so long to play Blazblue online because the American culture puts such a stigma on loosing that it takes a while to get over that.

Im also pretty nervous to play Arcana Heart since everyone that has the game has had the chance to play it for well over a year (lol Japan). I'll probably be more likely to play it when it releases in North America and Europe though. I may be scrubby, but I can still hold my own. I.e., I played a tager, and he basically double perfected me (3 rounds to win). My Valkenhayn wasn't having non of that. My best come back ever. Not really, I lost on the last round, but still.

Maybe once Snooki, and maybe you, get the American Release i'll play it more still, since I'm calmer about playing with people I at least somewhat know.

I liked it a lot when I played it, so yeah I'm getting it for sure.

I've had plenty of matches were someone beat me down pretty bad for the first two rounds and I almost came back. :( I always get so excited at the last round.

It alienates too many people. They just need to put a level restriction on thread creation. They already have one for posting pictures and linking websites.. why not thread creation on the whole? At least for system wars.

Why do developers feel they can cut corners to make a video game?

I just finished Killzone 3 and it was one of the worst experiences -- the thing is that it wasn't the whole package. Graphically it looks like Killzone 2 with better water. The gameplay is still pretty damn fine. But story, characters, the way the military is portrayed and how the Helghan are portrayed was just so frustratingly bad.

Story - was/is/will be awful. Simply terrible. So many cutscenes explaining nothing and making you wonder how the ISA ever was able to group together with such unrest in their lines and ranks.

Characters - Rico is still a turd. Sev is the super soldier. Narvill is the captain who just wants to get himself and his troops home (and nail the dickhole Rico to the floor)

Military portrayal/Helghan portrayal - I think the ISA is an experiment by the people on earth to see if a military can function without higher command and sergents who refuse to follow the orders their superiors dictate.

The Helghan may be in "disaray" even though I don't see how they could be when their entire Navy and most of their army is stilll in perfect fighting condition -- and they are fighting a force of a couple of thousand (thats a generous guess). Why not just use an orbital strike on their last known position and then send in scouts to assess the aftermath?
How is it that such a military based society could be left in such disaray after their dictator/otocrat was murdered. If the Helghan are an otacrocy (as I believe they are) then why would that high council not elect a new member right then and there -- its not like they were all in the same room sitting at the same table...oh wait.

Lastsly, I also just started playing Homefront...and I don't even have the words. I didn't think you could make Call of Duty and worse, but the developers of Homefront did! Good job! You can add all the atmosphere and (I cannot believe I'm saying this) plot to a video game but if you cannot deliver on anything else then whats the point?!

In closing, I have been let down twice by two games that had promise. And I have encountered two of the most stupid and dumb moments in a video game today: Those being the very end of Killzone 3 and somehow surving a direct hit from a white phosphorusstrike in Homefront.

Everything else in Homefront is THAT bad? I haven't seen much footage of the game.

Little things in video games bug me. I'm only a little way into the campaign but I just get the feeling that Homefront is a low budget game. The way some of the conversations don't match the mouths of the characters. The way your footsteps don't match the sound or the speed at which you are travelling. How linear the game is -- its not just that you can only go one way, but the character have to move in a certain order or the game will not progress (WTF!).

The thing about Homefront is that it really tries to show you and make you believe that is showing you a differnt world. And it does a damn fine job of that. But at the same time it wants to be a narrow and shallow game like Call of Duty, the way it puts up a big icon during its excellent cutscenes that say "PRESS A TO SKIP" Why!?

You can find newspapers that further emerse you in the world by telling you backstory during the game, brilliant! Similar to the Forerunner Terminals in Halo 3. Its a fantastic wat to immerse the player, but its ruined by the game. Its very frustrating.
