Switch getting all the great games this gen

It's subjective. It's missing out on a lot of 3rd party AAA games.

A nunchuck's of indies already available on other platforms doesn't scream "best games" to me. If I was too buy a Switch right now I'd get it for Nintendo's games and nothing else.

Fire Emblem, Mario Kart, Metroid, F-Zero, Animal Crossing, yep I agree with all of those. Some new interesting IPs wouldn't hurt either.

GTA is overrated. Just once I'd like to play a GTA that doesn't control like ass.

Yeah, Nintendo games are the only reason I bought a Switch two months ago.

@ezekiel43: GTA is the best gaming franchise. And don't know why you hate the controls. I have no problem with the controls.(Only helicopter piloting was a little annoying)

GTA's controls have aged far better than Kojima's first MGS games.(And yet people on the internet love to praise that franchise more)

Nah. I'm not gonna try to convince you. I know I can't and I don't really care. But GTA V's character handling is awful. Trying to play GTA O again yesterday made me instantly wanna reinstall the far superior controlling Max Payne 3. Which is still bugged for me, sadly. Rockstar doesn't understand how important efficiency is. I was also surprised when I first played GTA V that there is no shoulder swapping of any kind, which prevents you from seeing the enemy a lot of the time.

It's astonishing to me that people don't see the value in a Switch.

There's a lot of "Nintendo is for babies" stuff above, "indies" and "old games" elitism, but some of the best serious MULTIPLAT games in recent times are on Switch

None of those are kiddie games or look like shit. Seriously? Nobody here has any interest in playing any of these on the go or in bed?

Not for me. They know their demographic though.

@xantufrog: Honestly, the vast majority of those titles are basically unknown, or niche titles that a small group of people enthuse about. The only title that would appeal to me "on the go" is Diablo 3, and that peaked nearly 10 years ago.

A console that can't handle the top titles is useless to me, and I simply don't have time for Mario, given how much time I put into the games I have on x1 and PS4.

It's not even worth it to buy as a second console. For me.

The only game I'm remotely interested in is BotW and Wii U had that already.

i just recently bought a Switch.

I just bought it so i can play indie games, Fighting games, classic collections (Capcom, SEGA, SNK, etc) in portable mode while laying in bed.

Only Nintendo exclusives have any meaning to me. My switch has been collecting dust since February.
