The Switch is literally competing now though. It has almost 80 million units sold as of December 31 of last year, and this year is looking to be even bigger than last year. Like the Switch sold 27.39 million units from December 31 2019 to December 31 2020. No PlayStation console is ever touching that in a year EVER. Don't be delusional.

This part right here. They celebrate when their exclusives sell 10 million copies. We celebrate when our exclusives get to 20 and 30 million. To answer the question, yes I believe it is going to surpass the PS2 sometime this year. I suspect that the Switch will be at maybe 22 million or 23 million by the end of this year.
