@NathanDrakeSwag: Its doesnt get more notable then that. Splatoon sold like hotcakes around the world on a dead system. People will buy Switch for Splatoon alone.
It only sold because WiiU doesn't have any games and its owners had to buy something.

@NathanDrakeSwag: So what happened to other games that didnt sell? Your also forgetting nobody bought Wii U.
@FireEmblem_Man: idk if it's a good idea to compare it to ps4. Ps4 was riding on the wind of a botched Xb1 reveal
That's a lot of disappointed early adopters ?
With Zelda as a launch title, I'm pretty confident that most of the early adopters will not be disappointed. The people that are going to be disappointed, whether they want to admit it or not, are the people that are going to miss out on what will likely be the 2017 Game of the Year.
But after Zelda there will be a massive drought until Mario Odyssey. The only notable game releasing between those 2 is a Mario Kart 8 port.
And no Zelda won't be GOTY if RDR 2 releases this year.
After Zelda, the Nintendo Switch has the following first year exclusives:
Super Bomberman R
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Arms
Splatoon 2
Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Super Mario Odyssey (Another likely Game of the Year contender. Two surefire Game of the Year contenders within their first year that won't appear on their competitor's platforms is pretty impressive.)
What great exclusives did the PS4 and Xbox One offer in their first year? Not much. The Nintendo Switch's first year exclusive lineup is already much better than the exclusives that the Xbox One and PS4 had to offer in their first year and I'm sure that Nintendo is saving a few surprises for E3 as well.
Now, I understand that not everybody is a fan of Nintendo games and/or retro style games, but for the people that are, and these are the people that are going to be the early adopters, this is already a great first year lineup, so to say that a lot of the early adopters are going to be disappointed is ridiculous.

That literally makes no sense, given that most Wii U games ended up underperforming. Splatoon sold because it was a great game with a ton of appeal. if just 'Wii U owners were starved for content and would have bought anything' were true, then Xenoblade Chronicles X, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, and Kirby would not have bombed as badly as they did, for example.
Remember when Nintendo said they were going to step up initial production to try to meet demand? Welp. Let's hope they find a way to triple down cuz the thirst is for real.

they'll become available. I'm not worried. Sucks for early adopters, though. I'm just real skeptical about it. The Wii U was one of the first Nintendo consoles I didn't pick up. Just have to wait and see how the lineup shakes out.
