Actually, Summer Glau might BE Lara Croft :o When I met her at the FanExpo convention last summer, she told me she was "in talks" for having the role in the movie reboot. Obviously by her wording, nothing near official so take that with a grain of salt. Though since then I've heard Olivia Wilde's name dropped as being in the running as well.

Personally I would endorse Summer for the part, as she's got the acting chops (the origin story demands a great deal of emotional performance for when young Lara is dropped into her savage life & death ordeal), qualifies in the gorgeous department, and has experience with gunmanship. Plus she's got a background in dancing and gymnastics which may seem irrelevant but when you think about it, can translate well into Lara's acrobatics.

OK OK :oops: now to keep this on topic, here's another of my wallpaper designs, which some might recognize as a former sig of mine here. I seriously LOVE the renders of Nicobass, who is the artist of the second wallpper, he's brilliantly talented and perhaps one of the best Lara fan artists I've seen :)

but I live in England and I am far more unlikely to. But I would prefer her to almost anyone to take the Lara role.

But I must ask Adobe, what is it about Ms Croft you like soo much? my friend is also a huge fan and he is far from what you'd call a 'gamer'.

Yeah, the incorporation of real models into the various Lara renders is great. I actually went a bit more in depth into why Lara holds so much appeal for me. But to keep from derailing this thread, I wrote it up in my BLOG which is now online. Go have a read there. Some nice pictures to see, plus a video link you won't regret checking out.

Yes indeed, 6.1 - if it's good enough for CERN and Fermilab, it's good enough for me! Well spotted. I see you're using Linux Mint 11 - a fine choice. I almost dual booted with that, then decided at the last minute to go with PiguyOS (if I'm gonna have an OOTB desktop on my PC, might as well go the whole hog lol).

Awesome :P I now know of TWO people who use it. Haha.

Pinguy is pretty good although too cluttered for my tastes. I generally like going with something more basic and then adding what I want. Luckily Mint provides most of what I like ootb... otherwise I might have gone for Arch.

Aero Basic hardly utilizes more resources than clas*ic though. So you aren't saving much. It's Aero + transparency which is the most taxing (although even then the difference is minor).
