I didn't find it depressing, but it's been 2 years since I've last seen it. If you want another anime to watch after you're done with it, then I highly recommend Darker Than Black. It's a very good anime.

Don't like FPS, so no CoD. By ToV I assume you mean Vesperia, which I owned at one point, beat a couple times, then sold off. Dark Souls doesn't interest me, neither does Elder Scrolls. I quit GTA after the lousy GTA4.
