I've seen some dogs like that and all of them were scared of their own shadow.
Depends on how you raise them. They were incredibly effective for the job, due to their size and shape, plus the ability to kick a badger's ass. Mini Dachshunds are about 20x cuter though :P
Most people aren't so stupid as to let a tree fall on them.
I think it was less about stupidity and more about a fat kid not being able to outrun a falling tree... Obesity is a target of tree attacks everywhere!
