About a month and a half back, Best Buy was having a buy 2 get 1 free deal on all video games, every platform, no exceptions. I spent a ton and probably got 20 games. I never buy games at full price, but when the free game in a B2G1F is the cheapest game, it provides incentive to spend higher on the 2 to get a free game of higher value.

I went on Best Buy dot com today and saw that Kid Icarus Uprising was the deal of the day today, for only $14.99 marked down from $39.99. I dug up my receipt as it was one of the games I bought during the B2G1F week, and it created a chain reaction. I found out that tons more games that I got were marked down as well. For instance, The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition is only $9.99 right now, and I bought it at full price.

Overall, by doing nothing but bring my receipts in, I made $382 dollars today, just from having them price match their own in store sales. The crazy thing is that they treat price matching the same regardless of the buy 2 get 1 free, meaning I just got insane deals on games that I used towards other high priced games. I'm honestly just surprised that I was able to get price matches on the games after having bought them during a buy 2 get 1 free sale. You'd think that it would make it ineligible for price matching, but nope.

Just another reason why Best Buy is my favorite store around. $382 bucks just for bringing in some game reciepts. No returns, no nothing. You gotta figure that 90% of other customers don't take the time to research and / or take the time to go in and deal with customer service, but for the 10% that do, they're greatly rewarded.

My air conditioning broke, so I called a local company. They gave me an estimate of $300-400 for the repair.

When it was all said and done my cost was $648. I was charged two hours labor because he kept calling using a foreign area code and I didn't pick up thinking it was a toll free call, and the labor cost $180 for two hours. Then I was charged $350 for the new machine parts. I couldn't even get an invoice from him for the parts and when I called the company to b!tch them out for the terrible estimate (complete scam) and to ask for an invoice, they kept giving me dumbass excuses. I'm apparently going to get it by calling in a week but who the hell's willing to listen to me after I give them six and a half hundred dollars?

I really hate how much these @ssholes can get away with because AC is practically a necessity here since it's so hot all the time. This also pretty much means I'll have to go for a more inexpensive phone that's not a smartphone. F*ck.

Having read the graphic novels (I know the storylines are completely different), I'm kind of excited for this season. Hopefully more zombies and drama and less ... well less Lori and Andrea. :Pblue_hazy_basic
