That's becuase OT is the appropriate place for banning threads. We have a lounge here.
OT has RC and that is a Lounge. We can't have banned threads about SW users in OT. They would get locked because the user wasn't very active in OT. Or not well known. The boards are quite seperate. I don't see why we can't have those here.

There's not much we can do about it. It just feel a bit unfair. We're a community just as much as OT is. Only we spend our time talking about games instead of politics. I guess the lounge will have to do.
