System Wars Lounge v27-- The Good Luck Edition!

I think the Resident Evil 6 score from Gamespot is the score I disagree with the most from this site over the last couple years.

I have been playing this game quite a bit for the last week co-op, already completing Leon's campaign and getting half way through Jake and Chris's campaigns.

The production values are very good. The story is entertaining. The graphics, sound, motion capture, animations are all really well done. I never found the QTE's to be cumbersome, always easy enough to do without trouble. Plus, QTE's provide a level of interactivity within the cutscenes, making them more interesting than just watching them. There's also a win and a loss movie scenario for each QTE, allowing you to see many crazy deaths.

The game controls better than any RE before it and upped the gore factor to a great degree. It also incorporates melee attacks MUCH better than its predecessors, allowing you to just go in and beat the crap out of zombies which is awesome and something I always wanted to be able to do in the previous games. It's a great way to conserve ammo, and rather than just swinging a knife around very slowly to a repetitive animation like previous games, you can straight up charge in and start busting out combos on zombies and stomp on their heads.

The game has a great amount of content, awesome sound / production values / graphics, interesting story, but most importantly, it has solid gameplay and plays really well. The game has no game breaking flaws. A game of this caliber doesn't deserve to be given a 4.5, it just doesn't.

There are too many QTE's but not as many as GS would lead you to believe. I would ay the game deserved a 6-6.5 not a 4.5
