In other news, my puppy is napping!

Talking to a friend about buying his 2 year old gaming PC. If I were to build his PC today it would be about a $600 build that doesn't include the motherboard and case as I don't know what they are. That build includes everything else minus the monitor and speakers which I already have. I have a $550 Toshiba Satellite in great condition (only had it half a year). He said he's willing to do a trade and maybe some cash and wants me to name a price.

Actual specs for his PC are

Windows 7 32 Bit
4 GB Memory
ATI Radeon HD 4800
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.00 GHZ
500GB HDD
500w PSU
Razer gaming mouse (he said it cost around $60)
Standard looking keyboard

Suggestions on a fair price while giving him the laptop? I don't care about maxing Crysis, I just want to play games on normal settings with decent framerate (30-60fps). I'll just be upgrading stuff as I need to here and there. He let me play around a bit for a few hours on Kingdoms of Amalur and Crysis and I had an absolute blast.

I bought Lego Lord of the Rings for 3DS (waiting for the PC version as its still TBA; also I don't have a XBOX or PS3) and overall its pretty good. Some stuff is missing, other cool surprises (you actually get to fight the balrog!) more enemies on the field at once wouldn't be amiss and a little more explanation of why the one ring must be destroyed, what the background of it is would've been much appreciated rather than just relying on the movies for your background.) No "Game Over" screen makes it easier, but I went down a fair bit. Most of the enemies aren't too hard, but at least the bosses are tough, and their goons are fun to fight. Overall, I'd give it a 7-7.5
