FF14 (MMO) - Who i am a huge fan of FFXI so this is my big announcement of the year.

Nintendo had 2 marios and a metroid but NO ZELDA.

Microsoft had some cool things but overall it was second place for me.

Nintendo's press conference was weak compared to the other 2. They showed very little, really only announcing 2 new mario games and Metroid. Meanwhile, they were too busy appealing to casual audiences with style boutique and other crap, while also talking about sales, stats, and statistics. Not enough core market appeal.luigigreen

True, but I normally at least like to see some type of Teaser at least before I crap my pants. We have no idea what type of game it is or when it's coming out so I'm holding my breathe.

MS clearly won this E3. Everything we saw was new. First gameplay of ODST, first gameplay of Forza3, first gameplay of Alan Wake, first gameplay of Splinter Cell, gameplay of FF13(360), Crackdown, Halo reach, Left4Dead2, MGS multiplat, natal......and most important, lots of proves that 360 is as powerfull as PS3 if not better! Apart FF14, everything sony showed was the same gameplay we see year after year. How many times have wee seen GT5 gameplay???

Anyways, the poll dont surprise me! At least system wars went back to normal :roll:

Sony showed some nice gameplay of Uncharted 2 and God of War 3. But to me Microsoft and Nintendo were much more interesting in terms of surprises. I watched the conferences to see something new. Crackdown 2, Left for Dead 2, MGR, Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid came all out of nowhere. The only real surprise Sony had was Final Fantasy 14 but I'm not really interested in MMOs.nethernova

Now that I've seen all the conferences, I can say that Sony came in first, followed by Microsoft, then Nintendo in last.

Sony won far and square tough by tittle margin

longer conferencer and mutch more dinamic than even MS, a lot of comedy and fun, crowd always laughing and cheering (even for sarcasm)

More impact games - Unc 2, GOW III, TRICO

more console cover - psp a lot HOT games for it

new ip, like the kart fun game, and a ROCKSTAR Exclusive

and the motion showed whit real and awsome examples, imagime that guy instead of controlling the empty doll, controling the character in oblivion

even tough is not so techologony advanced like NATAL is more intuitive and more game driven objective

My problem with Sony's conference was majority of it was spent talking about either sales or stuff we were already aware of. You mention Resident Evil and Agent, but really they weren't even showcased, just mentioned. Sony really should've done a better job of keeping their information confidential, because important stuff, like The Last Guardian Trailer, PSP Go! (which lost all of it's steam much like the PS3 when we learned it's price) and the MGS-PSP title., They would've been nice surprises but still, knowing about it softens the impact.

ModNation looked cool, I'll admit, but I really wanted to see at least sometime of Gameplay of Agent before I get excited for it. Just mentioning the title does nothing for me. PSP games were all well and good too, but the only "new" PSP game actually shown was MGS. Resident Evil just like Agent, only got a brief mention.

Despite the poll... MS won the press conference war. I'm sure the Gamespot and GamefaqOffical polls will back me up. Gametrailers I think will as well.

Willy Rising is not 360 exclusive and the PSP was the biggest winner this E3AgentA-Mi6

At the end of the day, they all had solid showings. I'd say Nintendo won and Sony lost, but it doesn't really matter 'cause it's pretty close.

Should be interesting to see where this board goes post-E3.

So, let's go back to my forecasts.

Cows are expecting big things, but I'm not sure why. They should have learned from sheep last year: You can't have an awesome Q1 and a good E3. Expect footage of games we've known about for years, perhaps a new weird little IP, and of course, a new TrICO vid that will tide the cows over for the next ten years or so.

Nintendo has to show up this time, and for most people, that means Zelda. For me, that means PIKMIN FRIGGIN' 3! The only Zelda game I see being shown is Spirit Tracks. The show will belong to Motion+, with new Wii Series games and a "hardcore" IP or franchise using it.I

Sony had a better E3 than I thought, but I did predict them losing, which I believe is what the final verdict will be. I didn't expect FF14, but in retrospect maybe I should have. After all, they have to announce it before 13 drops! :P

I was right about the Zelda no-show. No Pikmin Friggin' 3, though. :( It's okay, I'm a patient guy. Did not see SMG2 coming. I like the idea of moar Galaxy, but it also shows that Galaxy will be the peak of Mario games for a while. It's also a bit too soon IMO.
