I'd rather have a perfect collection than any 1 game. Besides, once I start allowing tainted games in my collection, I'll forget which ones are tainted and it'll bug me. It's easier just having them all uniform.

What about all of your cart games which seems to be a pretty large percentage of your collection? I don't see packaging for any of those and there looks to be over 100 of them, they're all incomplete.

I don't collect cardboard, that's pretty much my only exception.

That's a pretty large exception, not judging or anything it just seems inconsistent. If I had to guess because I know the difficulty in which it is to find them complete, you just caved on your rules rather than you don't actually care or want them.

If they just fell into my lap I'd probably try and preserve them but yeah, I'm not going to make an effort to find them and they are pretty hard to find. I'm a pretty casual collector and I am really patient. I don't care when or if I get a game, and when I do, I never pay full price for what it's worth. I've gotten insane deals on everything I have pretty much.

@indzman:

Thanks. Just recently in the last month I sold about 200 games that I didn't think I'd ever play. They were games that I didn't even really seek out, but were bundled with other items on Craigslist that I wanted. Either that or they were duplicates or missing either case, artwork, manual or had disc scratches.

Cool. Selling games that we never enjoyed or never gonna play but made purchase on impulse is always a good idea. Hope we don't end up selling games that we will regret selling later or they become unavailable / pricey when we really need to play them. Sold many games in past which i regretted very much, nowadays i'm very picky and careful while selling stuffs :)

@demon-returns: They are ok. I never finished them, i use to have both on PS2. I dont remember them being anything to rave about, but i also dont remember them being horrible games.

@indzman:

I completely agree. I regret selling lots of games in the past so now when I sell games, I make absolutely sure I don't want them. The games I sold were games I did not want to begin with and were just given to me from Craigslist ads as a bonus on top of the things I was really after. I also got rid of all my sports games and don't ever plan on buying more.

My girlfriend works at Nintendo and she just brought this home for me today as a surprise.

She also grabbed me this and is the one who bought me the Majora's Mask New 3DS a couple weeks ago.

Got some new stuff today.

I took a pic of my Zelda collection earlier. I'm missing Oracle of Ages/Seasons and the 2 NES carts which are ported on the Collector's Edition.

I also pictured my Mario Kart games and Smash games because they're my favorite games.

Oh right on, when I was 18 I took a Winter temp job at the North Bend warehouse, was pretty legit.

That's where they do all the factory packaging, right? I have 2 friends that work there. Did you like it?

Yeah it is, it's not a bad job it's just super repetitive, I didn't hate it or anything but I wouldn't want to do it for a living.

Not my full collection, just my current gen stuff and my Gamecube stuff because I love it. Not pictured are 50+ DS games, 30+ PS3 games, and a decent amount of 360, Wii, PS2, PS1, and PSP games.

Thanks indzman

I didn't start collecting until about 2010. I got sick of trading my games in at gamestop for pennies on the dollar. I hit the jackpot with my snes games. I was at gamestop the day Metroid Prime released in 2002. I was waiting in line and looked over and they had a bin full of snes games for $5 each. I thought why not and bought 10 of them. They were buried in my closet for years. When I found out how much they were worth I dug them out. I started buying snes games again around 2010 right before they exploded in price. I need to work on my ps2 collection still a lot of games I want for it. My goal is to go for more expensive games first because the price just keeps going up and up. Then get the bread and butter stuff later.

Well, here are new additions to my gaming family (and more and more, I think my gaming tastes have become more awkward).

The PS2 versions of Enter the Matrix (which I already played on PC and despite it's flaws, I enjoyed it, despite more or less having hidden story info from Reloaded) and Nightfire we're a gift from my aunt as her family has never or hardly played 'em (EtM is SEALED, while I already own Nightfire, the PAL version on my GameCube, and although I won't do it crazily, nothing wrong with owning two versions of the same game, hell, I do DBZ: Budokai where I own the PAL PS2 and NTSC US GC version and I have both the DS and GC version of Urbz).

Yeah, despite BR2 not being on the GC, I wanted to pick up the first one on there (so on Steam and/or on PS2, I might double dip so I can feel complete before I pick up BR2).

What about all of your cart games which seems to be a pretty large percentage of your collection? I don't see packaging for any of those and there looks to be over 100 of them, they're all incomplete.

I don't collect cardboard, that's pretty much my only exception. I have a decent amount of cardboard, lots of it's not pictured, but I don't make a point of doing so. Mainly just for PC games to protect the discs they came in but SNES / N64 carts are durable to a point that they don't need added protection. I did buy a ton of old plastic cases that would be used for rental game cases that form fit SNES, N64 and NES carts that I use to protect some.

What?!? Card board is cool.

See this pic, notice the vertical artwork. Plastic doesn't do that.

Yeah, that's really cool. Don't get me wrong, I WISH I had cardboard, but I don't and it's so hard to find that I don't have it in me to get it. If I did have it, I'd post pics of it and display it.
