Holy ****. Thats alot of "Tales of" games.
The last Tales game I played was Tales of Destiny on the PSX. Damn, that game was great Guess I got some catching up to do eh? :)
Ill probably pick up Vesperia on the 360 when it comes out.
asdasd
you could do great by picking up and playing Tales of Symphonia, its greatness
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLL :D
That was a little extreme, but it's never been confirmed, so that is well justified.
360 exclusive? Why would they do that, especially after the pathetic bombing of Eternal Sonata?GunraidanMicrosoft has deep pockets my friend, I would imagine they're paying Namco Bandai the difference.

But it just doesn't make sense. I mean Tales is a big franchise in Japan yes but not colossal. Plus their are the two facts of these types of games no being very popular in Japan and the fact that the system is already declared dead in the country.

To be honest I checked a while ago, their source code. They had already changed it but if you look at the title it's not Vesperia, it's Innocence in that source code.
[QUOTE="kiruyama"]Eh? Namco hasn't announced where Vesperia is going. Most likely going to be multiplat. The only hint to exclusivity are some metatags on their site. If its exclusive to 360, a console where JRPGs are shunned, then I hope Namco is getting plenty of money from MS from the deal. That, and/or they're confident Tales of Innocence and Symphonia 2 will do well enough to the point it doesn't affect their revenue much.Pripyat
One should read the OP before posting in a thread.
And brushing your teeth twice a day is whats recommended by dentists.
What's your point? Namco still hasn't announced what platforms its on. The OP links to a Japanese composer's english web site. If you think that's a credible source regarding the exclusivity of a game, then thats fine with me. I however, prefer to wait until official announcements are made.

I guess Microsoft wants it as a filler title to keep some momentum until they release one of their bigger titles like Blue Dragon 2 or Infinite Undiscovery. Things are bad for them in Japan yes, but we both know things could be very very worse.Honestly I would push to get exclusive games from Namco Bandai and Atlus on the platform, their RPGs cater to a niche market, but the Xbox 360 will never have mass appeal in Japan so they NEED that loyal niche market. Microsoft must be paying well if Namco Bandai is continuing to make deals with them. Hell, when Microsoft flashed the green even Square Enix sold out.

The japanese writing before Xbox 360 supposedly says tales of vesperia. It goes something like 'Tales of Innocence Tales of Vesperia 360 Tales '. What it does mean is the 360 will most likely be getting a Tales game. Vesperia? Maybe.
Listen x-box fans face the facts!
1. Yes M$ has made a small amount of grund in japan but i t will not be a success/
2.(remember jet set radio,Panzer dragoon, blue dragon? There seems to be a trend of M$ running Good japanese developers into the ground pumping out games that No one on either contient will buy.
3. Face it japan and the US are 2 differnt places. 360 is just to western to like japanese games and vice versa. MOST if not all 360 games do NOt go beyond the realm of shooters racers ect. Remember M$ CUt out a place for itself in the market by marketing themselves as a real mans console and Nintendo as kiddy. They made there bed noe they must sleep in it
4. Ill bet you anything thet tals wii sales will destroy the 360s sales. the devepoler and publisher will nearly poop there pants over the numbers

I personally think that Microsoft gets these games not just for Japan but for all gamr who are in favore of Japanese stylled games. I mean face it the market Microsoft is trying to get in Japan is far too small to support a profit (hell SONY can't even do it), however with the millions of JRPG fans world-wide it couldn't be as bad as it sounds. There's also the fact of variety. It's no secret that in terms of games, one could say that the 360 solely appeals to the American teen or college kid and they wouldn't be too far off. That isn't to say the games don't appeal to other regions, but the games the console focus's on are usually towards the American audience. Because of this a fair share of gamers complain about variety. Having a JRPG on the platform is a big notice, much more of a notice then say an Adventure game or a Fighting game. It's similar to Nintendo having Manhunt 2 or No More Heroes on their platform. If they just simply had Half-Life or Devil May Cry I wouldn't be surprised if people brought up Nintendo's "kiddie" image a bit more often. But because two very mature oriented games are on the platform it gets a little toned down.

Interesting, I would have made it for the Wii.
Japanese devs confuse me, Blue Dragon, LO, and Eternal Sonata sell like trash(serious trash, I think ES only hit 150k) and they decide to dev for the 360?

It has to be multiplat. There's no way a dev is that stupid.

unless they're being paid by microsoft.
besides i think the music composer of the game would know which platform the game he is working on would be on. he clearly took it off the site because he released infomation that wasnt suppose to be givin out yet.

They have 2 FF13 exclusively, WKS, MegaTen(Pes won't RPG of 2007 if you think this is nothing) and Diagaea.
If you're saying this JRPG line-up is weak, there's no argument I can make.

They have 3 well known JRPG franchise and one original jrpg which I admit could justifiy as a great line up. But adding more for the Western rpg crowd could do better imo. We'll see what else is in store once more new titles will be announced. I'm confident with Xbox360's various different types of rpgs coming in 2008 now with Atlus US publishing games.
Xbox360- Blue Dragon 2, Operation Darkness, Sp Force 3, Cry On, Mass Effect 2(Bioware already announce a sequel), Fallout 3, Infinite Undiscovery, Fable 2and Magna Carta 2 which is still in the dark. A combination of different RPGs from both western and eastern developers which some may turn out good while others average. Yes, there is no denying this line up.....
