Tales Of Vesperia PS3 Trailer???

now folks dont get too excited as the website has listed itself that its not sure if its a real trailer or fake but apparently namco bandai has released this and until actual confirmation from namco themselevs this is considered a rumour.

if it comes though that will be great!

Probably not true. Besides Vesperia's story was poor and the overall cast is pretty weak and cliched. Personally I see no reason to be excited. Even though I own 360/Ps3.

Would not be surprised if it turns out too be true though, Eternal Sonata did get ported after all.JLF1

And Bioshock, alot of Devs seem to port their games to PS3 in 2008,not better than 360 vers tho (apart from enternal sonata) Ratchet_Fan8

Not saying that ToV will be coming to the PS3, and don't really care as I have it on my 360, but the Only on 360 thing shouldn't be that much of a confirmation for you, as it's proven wrong before. Though for now and when/if we hear a confirmation, ToV shall be a 360 exclusive.

Well, found the first game that I could that was multi-plat and had the logo on it, and it seems Enchanted Arms is our culprit.

Actually, SquareEnix is usually the company accused of perpetuating these JRPG stereotypes. I would highly suggest checking out some Atlus titles, though I admit I am biased toward sthem since they are my favorite. Odin Sphere and Persona 3 = awesomeness incarnate.

I'd have to disagree. Square's characters and stories are very cliched and poorly written for the most part. With an exception to a few of their games.

The main character isn't a whiny little emo and his sidekick is a dog that smokes a pipe and wields a ****ing dagger in his mouth.

That alone is better than any of the main character from any of the recent final fantasys *save Auron*

I know I didn't. I did, however, cry after I bought the 360 version from a friend for $5 (I'm a sucker for extra stuff, and he had the one with the graphic novel). I could have bought a better dinner that night instead, and I weeped.

Not waiting for anything. I'm already playing the game. It's awesome too. One of the better JRPG games to come out this year. If it does make it's way to the PS3 it'll probably end up like Eternal Sonata and only sell 10K it's first week. I'm just waiting for The Last Remnant to come out next.

I already read in an interview from the Director of the game that they intended on releasing for PS3, a few months ago. The 360 version release was their priority.

Timed Exclusives are the newest wave, but I already bought it, so eh.

lol, okay, let me explain.

See, I am well aware of their being no confirmation.My point is, I've seen this kind of thing too many times. If they are working on it, and M$ paid for a time release (or some other such deal, like free Marketing, etc.). SE cannot jeopardize that by saying anything. Even if there was no Deal, they don't want to jeopardize the 360 sales by announcing another platform version. Don't want anyone to wait around. So, if there is work on a version, we won't be privy to it until such conditions are lifted.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's coming, or that I am not suddenly buying it on 360, just saying that we won't be allowed to know the truth, yet (If indeed, such a truth exists).

My standards are higher than Gamespots period. And I'd have to say my standards are higher than most posters here.

Vesperia's story is cliched. It falls into the typical save the world storyline.

The only characters in the game that are worth anything are Yuri, Judith, and Raven. Raven although funny is very very cliched.

The rest of the games cast can rot.

The antagonists are one dimensional characters that recieve little to no development. Their motivations are poorly written and cliched.

Conquer the world - check.

Kill all humans - check.

The game's story although better paced than tales of the abyss is still horrible. The game drags on far to long in the 2nd half.

The plot twists are fairly predicatable.

The main characters themselves have little to no backstory and recieve little to no development through the course of the game. A major problem in a jrpg. They are fairly shallow.

Not to mention the corny friendship teamwork guild stuff they throw in.

The games only saving grace is it's combat system.

Why buy it for the combat system when I can get better games with better combat systems for cheaper:

Most of the J-RPG have the save the world cliché. Thats what you always do in FF games :P and if it isn't that cliché. It's save the girl/princess/kingdom cliché. Something needs to be saved! :P
