Because the Wii is region locked and the rumor is its a Japan exclusive game. I have a Wii and a PS3 and I hope it comes out for the PS3.

umm.. not really, i would not say anything if it was on 360, then it would be common sense. Now, however, is a completely different story with Wii. You might be one of the people that actually don't get effected by the SW bashing but many people do.

for example, one of my friends said he won't play FF4 simply because it's on Wii, minutes later he said he wished it wasn't Wii bound.THAT is how SW sees the Wii, and that is the demographic i was addressing. Sorry for making a misguided assumption about you.

Well seeing as how Capcom said that all their major games will be multi-plat, if this game does well and the demand for a PS3/360 version is high expect a port. I mean if they can port a dumbed down Dead Rising to Wii, i'm pretty sure they can port this and improve it and add extra characters and what not.DeadSpaceXIII

One would think wouldn't they. It's being developed for a Wii based arcade cabinet though... so maybe it would be too hard to port... and maybe this isn't a major game to them...

No it doesn't. That game doesn't have the resolvable resolution of higher definiton, recording it with an HD camera is absolutely pointless. The reason you don't show standard definition video of high defintion gameplay is because resolution is lost in the process, the camera can't resolve all of the detail being recorded.

The real answer is Gamespot only has HD cameras now, most likely - so everything is recorded using HD cameras and then downscaled before posting it in the standard def sections. Watching it in HD makes no sense though.

Yes, Cash in the same way the new MK vs. DC game is a cash in.

The sole reason Capcom pits popular, already known characters against their Capcom characters is because they are "cashing in" on those non-Capcom's character's pre-existing popularity.

MvC2 was a good game (as I said, 8 years ago, long time has passed,) but it was a cash in game.

HD just means the video has higher resolution, the video is OFF SCREEN, i'l say it again OFF....SCREEN. Its a way to compensate the lost of detail by filming it OFF SCREEN.

Sf4 is a huge, huge departure from 3S. If anything it's a return to more classic control and a refinement and change of controls first introduced in SF2 as well as an introduction of new mechanics.

Take for example the Soul Calibur series (not a fan personally, but the example will do fine.) 8 years ago that game got a ten. if another Soul Calibur was released that waspretty much the same as the original, it would not have nearly the same impact as the original had, it would not seem anywhere near as good.

And the way I feel has nothing to do with the Wii. I'd feel the same thing if SF4 was on the Wii and this game wasn't.

Probably not.

There's really no reason for them to, the arcade fighter scene here is nothing compared to how it is over there. They'd be better off, from a financial perspective, filling the game with characters most familiar to a Japanese audience.

If the game is released in the arcades or on the Wii outside of Japan, Capcom needs to properly introduce the Tatsunoko characters as they are obscure to most Westerners. I personally never heard of most of the characters until I learned about the game's existence.
