Other then CS?

I would say it's tied with CSS/CS. Don't buy into people who say CS is so much better than CSS. That's BS, they're practically the same, just have different engines.
No way. Its good, but off the top of my head I enjoy:
Counterstrike
Battlefield 2142
Bad Company 2
Timesplitters 2
Timesplitters 3
Day of Defeat
Uncharted 2
Halo 3 (only one I owned)
ect
more than TF2. I did enjoy it though and it is right up there, but not for me. Valve seems to have been in a more chaotic multiplayer feel this gen. I much prefer DoD and CS to TF and L4D (and yes I know there was TF1, I never played it but I own it).
nah, its fun but not the best.
BF2 is the best IMO, when you play 32 vs 32 without vehicles, sum maps can be pretty epic. except sinpers should be removed from BF games, or atleast should be a rare item, like forgotten hope had
BF 1942, BF2, Unreal, Quake 3, COD4 and BC2 are all better than TF2 imo. TF2 is a game for wanna be shooter fans. It's the Mass Effect of online shooters. i5750at4Ghz
It's exactly because of that reason that I like it. It's not another generic run n shoot type of game. It's unique and I love it because of that.
[QUOTE="XEviscerateX"]They're not even close. CS takes so much more skill.I would say it's tied with CSS/CS. Don't buy into people who say CS is so much better than CSS. That's BS, they're practically the same, just have different engines.

Yeah because you can't tell where the dude's head is since the characters have only 5 pixels in total. Source is better, at least I can see wth I'm shooting at.

Lol'd at this.
Anyways, yes, i agree with this. It has to be the funnest MP i've played. Very well balanced as well, considering there's 9 characters to choose from.

TF 2 excels in pure gaming bliss. You can't get angry with it, you can only love it. the lack of a glorified stats/k.d ratio/leaderboards only serves to prove the purpose, tf 2 is pure untainted FUN which is what gaming is all about in the long run
Quake... without it gaming would look complitly diffrent, thru TF2 is great, there still too many legends that shaped the industry more then TF2 ever did

They are quite a bit different they have different recoil and handle damage and hitboxes differently as well.the games you listed share many many overlaps with each other, however, they share practically nothing with tf2, and don't do many things nearly as well. It's very much based on the ability to react quickly and correctly to a huge number of situations. Being a good soldier or demoman takes a pretty large amount of skill. Yes some classes like heavy don't take much effort but it still requires complete situational awareness and in a server with competent players on the better team is going to win every time. Also TF2 has so much content these days (and it's FREE) that I can't see any reason to hate on it.[QUOTE="i5750at4Ghz"]BF 1942, BF2, Unreal, Quake 3, COD4 and BC2 are all better than TF2 imo. Pretty much this. To hell with all the silly stats and perks and other distractions, the core of TF2 is gameplay.

Not sayings it's a bad game, just not something I could get into. TF2 just isn't very challenging to me.[QUOTE="i5750at4Ghz"]BF 1942, BF2, Unreal, Quake 3, COD4 and BC2 are all better than TF2 imo. TF2 is all about team work and knowing what to do and when. Precision aiming is far from a requirement. Most weapons are extremely spammable. Something like an engineer you really don't shoot at all, you just sit back and defend your sentry. Please Log In to post.
