Idk.. I dont really get TF2.. I played it and idk I guess its just above me because I just get owned instantly whenever I go on so I was never really able to enjoy it.
Reach isn't even a week old yet. TF2 is much older with tons of DLC. If they came out at the same time I'd say Reach because it's packed with a lot of stuff at launch, TF2 only had 6 maps at launch. But right now TF2 wins because it has so much stuff.
TF2 came out around the same time as Halo 3. It has kept the community going through 2 more iterations of the Halo 3 game (ODST and Reach). TF2 also will have the longevity because even with Bungie not being on Halo anymore someone will make a new one. The first one on PC is still going strong though and will probably outlast 3, ODST and Reach combined.
I've played a lot of Halo multiplayer at friends' places, but I don't think that it's anywhere near as fun as TF2, and TF2 has much more staying power (it's already outlasted two other Halo games). TF2 gets my vote.

I was just pointing out how TF2 is still a serious competitor even though it came out in 2007 (thanks to tons of free content packs), while Halo players have been migrating across three Halo games (3, ODST and now Reach).
Also, what makes you think people haven't played both, and decided that TF2 was better? I mean, who *hasn't* played a Halo game recently?

TF2 is better imo (360 version), its the best MP game ever. im not a fan of halo multiplayeri mean its good but theres always been better MP games like bad company, gears 1, CoD series and TF2

ODST didn't have it's own multiplayer, except for Firefight the disc was the entire Halo 3 multiplayer with all of the maps, so basically no. It outlasted one Halo game

I have TF2 and im Sorry Halo reach: destroys it Hands down, of course the mods are better for those that know how to use source and make custom maps but the level of cuztomization in halo that is easy to do is unmatched in terms of console Shooters. Halo reach Is by far one of the Best Multiplayer shooters of this Gen. And on consoles is has not been matched. While TF2 is awesome it really depends what flavor of multiplayer you want if you want more class based shooter then obviously TF2 but Halo can be Hardcore and yet it still manages to create laughs and smiles on my face just due to the funny nature of some of the gamtypes and or custom games that people create. Numbers dont lie either last time I checked there are usually only about 20-30 thousand people playing on it at a given time where Halo reach Has numbers from 700-800 thousand at peak hours, and at least 2 million unique players per 24 hour period. Granted Halo reach jsut came out but Even in Halo 3 before Halo reach came Halo 3 still averaged over 100 thousand players during peak hours and 300-500 thousand players per 24 hour period and that was 3 years after the game came out, about the same amount of time TF2 had been out.

I will have to agree with this the best shooters on PC riht now are TF2 along with Counterstrike Source or 1.6, and then Halo Reach for console. They are all amazing games for LAN parties, all have merits that brings us all smiles.

Please do tell why you have to have knowledge of the source engine to enjoy mods. Besides is it true that you can only play the custom maps in Reach with your friends? If that is true that is lame as hell.

Regardless of how good TF2 happens to be, its still going to be pc fanboys and ps3 fanboys vs. 360 fanboys.
