I've played TF2 for about 150 hours. Its a good game, but I wouldn't say its FAR better than reach. Right now I'm liking reach more. I don't know if that will last or not, seeing how reach came out a week ago. As far as communities go, they both have their ups and downs. On tf2 you get those mic spammers who play 4 chans memes non stop, and on 360 you have the kids. Both can be muted.albi321

No so much. So Reach on consoles, TF2 on PC.

I don't know about you guys, but I think TF2 is ten times more fun when everyone has a mic and we're all trash-talking. It's just one of those games that genuinelly benefits from that.

I personally think TF2 is horrible, so despite my feelings of repulsion towards the Halo games I'm going to say Reach.

Obviously the hermits that are saying TF2 have played both games. Obviously they're both comparable. I'm going to disregard the major differences in the way they both play out and also disregard all of the things you can do in Reach like firefight, racing, etc that you can't do in TF2 and I will also disregard Reach's competitive scene aka MajorLeagueFail and Arena. That's cool, but it's not $60 for you to play on xbox live if you can browse the internet for obvious deals and being free doesn't make a game better, it just makes the MP free.

you also forgot xpleague :P but they changed their name recently. the tf2 comp scene is definitely bigger than halo's. i filled in for teams quite a few times and am on a highlander team for etf2l contest thing that valve talked about on their blog.

Valve are useless devs whilst Bungie kick ass, I've only played Reachs MP and Firefight and they both kick the crap outta anything on PC, Wii and PS3 combined.

Matters not, It's on the 360 so you can't just say that the poll would be unfair.

Need to play more Halo Reach mp first... TF2 is one of my fav mp games, but from the little i played Reach has a solid mp..

Halo: Reach is essentially the same Halo multiplayer since the second one. The only real change is that multiplayer has been extended to include co-operative matchmaking as well i.e Firefight and Campaign modes. TF2 is competitive multiplayer only.

I like the Infection multiplayer of Halo MP a lot, but my favourite FPS game is the original Team Fortress and TFC. If only more people played Fortress Forever, I'd still be playing it lol. Not a big fan of TF2, though I can see why people enjoy it.

At the moment I'd still argue TF2. While it's not as robust in features available to the end user (aside from having an SDK with a plethora of custom game modes), it really is amazingly crafted game, and one of the staple online titles this generation. An example of a game as a service, rather than just mere title, and it has spawned one of the most impressive communities in gaming; the amount of fan material and spinoffs; comics, videos, art skrat_01

I dunno I think Halo's community is way bigger than TF2. Certainly TF2, as a hardcore PC shooter community is unusually massive, but it's unfair on itself to compare it to something as mainstream as Halo.

Not to say the breadth of Halo's popularity and dedication makes it any better. But really, come back to me when you can play TF2 with Linkin Park.:lol:
