Lol Halo MP compared to a real game. TF2 duh. More content, better gameplay, a community that has a sense of humour, constant patches and better graphics.Ace6301
A recently released game has less content thrn a 4 year old game, damn, never thought about that? Gameplay is meh in tf2, its fun but reach is btter. Man, great sense of humour, all those genital sprays everywhere. You know there is a problem with the game when you have to patch it the whole time. Just no. How can people hate bungie?

This thread still alive lol? Reach is dieying. All the hardcore Halo players ( even how little the group was) turned they're back to it because Bungie screwed up at many front. Yea the first week of release almost 1 milion people played it but look at it now, I play sometimes at friends house when waiting for him (he's a peasant to :( ) and only 50/60k people online. I never saw online useramount wich surpassed the 100k. I bet this game or better, this whole franchise will die within a year.

You can see the terrible state of it just by looking up at the Bungie forums.

lol, they patch the game to add new content for it. I know that might be a hard concept to grasp for someone who has never seen free content being added to games on a regular basis but its common on the PC.

A real game? What is that even supposed to mean? More content? Is really fair to criticize Reach for Having less when TF2 has had more than three years to generate that content?

Oh yeah, and Halo fans certainly have no sense of humor

And better graphics? You might prefer the the art ****but the graphics certainly aren't better.

Nah I'm just kidding Halo is fine (still not as good as TF2 imo but that's like my opinion man). That picture really doesn't help the whole reach looks good case though.

There's an explosion in either of those? Like being honest here, I see some little yellow stuff coming out of the haze of bloom. Also the second one looks like someone went into photoshop and used difference clouds.

You have to break it down slowly man, especially for 360 gamers that get charged for each DLC/update a company like Valve wants to put out. (see L4D's Crash Course & The Sacrifice & forgot the other name FREE on PC)
There is a thing on the PC called game support. It pretty much means that after years after release of a game, there are still updates churned out.
This could be anything ranging from performance updates or user requested options/content/fixes aside from regular gameplay fixes and balances.
We also get holiday events every now and then. We PC gamers also get content & updates for FREE on TF2. I know that the concept of FREE can be baffling and hard to grasp, it means we PC gamers don't pay money to get these updates and extra content. To put it in perspective, TF2 has seen GIGABYTES worth of updates and extra conent. Maps, items, new gameplay elements. The community also has tools to create their own maps and even their own in-game items.
I hope you can grasp these new and weird concepts.

Maybe you need a dictionary for the word FREE and ''superior gaming on PC is superior''.

That doesn't explain all the maps and content that were released before the Mann-conomy update, or even before hats were introduced.

TF2 fore sure, halo reach is just like the old game halo2. TF2 has been made for 10 years, and valve made the most polished fps ever, and i'm not a fan of FPS. I'm more of an sim racer. Theres no spawn kill in TF2 than they a in any Halo games.

gamedude234

To bad the custom map system sucks since you can't fill it with stranger. No, you have to invite friends and can ONLY play with friends your custom maps if they are even willing to. With TF2 they just appear in the browser and are being played by thousands. Halo offers zero of this. The game is flawed at it's core.

tbh, matchmaking is done so well, i don't see the big difference between the servers and matchmaking. all you need is a good connection, and your good to go.

TFC and TF2 are just like two different games. TF2 is heavily team based. TFC relies on the individual skill more (oh God, dem conc jumps!).

Since when?

And BTW, I wouldn't call TFC a broken game out of respect for it and for many fun hours I've had with it back then, but really, medic was the best attacking class. Something had to be revamped.

Because there were some things about TFC that were a bit undesirable. Grenade spam was one of them. The fact that Medics were more likely to be doing flag runs than healing their teammates was another.

if you have played tf2 on pc, there really is no comparison. tf2 has added more content for free than halo could ever amount to. and the few additional maps for reach have been 10 bucks. tf2 is also regularly 10 dollars on steam.

Valve are in symbiosis with their community. Something that Bungie can only dream of.

Probably said this a while back, but Team Fortress 2 of course. It's the most remarkable online shooter this generation for a reason, and is constantly evolving. Which can't be said for for the vast majority of shooters, especially those - like Halo, which are periodically updated every few years in contrast. Keep in mind TF2 has a rich community full of ridiculous amounts of art content, web comics, player made modes, maps, mods, and TF2 has been full of meta games; Soldier vs Demoman for example.

[QUOTE="SAGE_OF_FIRE"]Just to put it into perspective, I have around 150 community maps in my maps folder (which are just as good if not better than the official ones). Orchid87

Valve are in symbiosis with their community. Something that Bungie can only dream of.

What are you talking about ? halo reach is connected to bungie in everything we do. They treat their community amazing :?

I'm guessing it's because of community events like this http://www.teamfortress.com/war/part1/index.htm, which turned TF2 into an additional meta game, involving players in the process of an update.

Then other things like anyone being able to submit content to Valve and have it added to the game; and, make money from it. Be it maps, items, apparel. Etc. A friend recently had a model of theirs be picked up by Valve after submitting.

This was all stemming from other community events like the polycount contest http://www.polycount.com/2010/07/15/the-team-fortress-2-polycount-pack-winners Even the TF2 web comics are an after product of fan made TF2 comics, and Garry's mod asset tinkering thrown into the mix (which all really stems back to the humour, style and personality of the game).

It's a very peculiar thing, there really aren't any online shooters like it in this sense.

Not to say Bungie isn't great, they certainly are - even with MS putting ther foot in the door to content releases, and community content they, still manage to pull off great things.

Edit* GS broke my links hooray

Bungie releases several challanges the whole time, tf2 doesn't have this only. So because bungie just released maps that their members made for free is worse? Bungie does the same thing without getting money for them, its free publicity for map makers on reach. Machinima, red vs blue, halo comics, halo books, and yet bungie is out of touch with their community with millions also make stuff for halo?
