***Team ICO developing 2 new ps3 games***

Team ICO who are responsible for the Shadow of the Colossus have been out of the limelight for awhile, but recently, a member on the PS3 forums has posted some information on the company's ventures after a chance meeting with a Sony Playtation product manager from Germany while at the Motostorm event:

...(H)e told me that Team ICO is actually developing two games at once with one being close to Ico and Shadow of the Colossus in terms of atmosphere and setting."

waiting for the inevitable its not worth 200 dollars rant from some lem that happens in every single thread that features a PS3 exclusive MUST HAVE.

Whats actually funny is that I have seen that now for at least 20 different games.

Now I wait for the inevitable its going to come to the 360 thread.

yep great games on some consoles will make you forget a console that you have. well if you dont have a ps3 maybe u will get it if those games turn to be great as their predecessors.

Shadow of the colossus is uniqe and was very original. It was a different experience to most games. That's what i want again and that's why Team ICO should have the upmost respect as a games develeper, they create things which we can only imagine. And it was THAT good. Please stop talking about length of games..that doesn't detract from how good it is. SOTC to some is a short game and to others it's timeless experience.

a 360 owner should not be telling others about narrow choice in genres, when all the good selling games on 360 are sports and shooters.

I liked both Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. I own both of them. I beat Shadow 4 times in a row (first time 8 hours, second, third and fourth times at around 5-6hours). I do wish it could have been longer. I mean, are you telling me that if it was longer it would suck?

Team Ico already confirmed that they are making a PS3 game just a short while ago....

no doubt the games will have great atmosphere, but i want more substance this time

Crackdown, Dead Rising, and Saints row aren't "shooters" in my opinion (despite the fact that there is, well, shooting). More like action adventure.

So true. It's not diverse when your fanbase is not accepting the other genres. Xbox fans should learn from PS fans.

ICO is one of my fav games of all time,unfortunately it seems to take team ico a min of 3 years to produce a game,oh we'll I'm sure the wait will be worth it :) 

its truely amazing how ALL threads on system wars end up a battle between fanboys. OK, i can understand MGS vs Halo threads or something along those lines but to manage to turn a Team Ico thread into a slaying match is very impressive in my opinion. I mean, even if you personally dont like their games, there is no denying that the games themselves are very well executed artistically, graphically and or emotionally. In fact, it is hard to say that there games so far have been "average" as they have provided the players with a timeless experience (im speaking as an Ico lover and SOTC fan, but my buddy dispises the actual games themselves...he hates the clumsy controls and the lack of variation... and yet he can appreciate the games).

Im not saying Team Ico are destined to give the 360 a knock on the head, but this is also not the time to be over confident in the 360's long term success. SOTC thrashed the gameing world when released (in the UK at least) and Ico became an instant classic (not to mention it ended up as a sort of collectors item, with a battered copy selling for $$$$$$ over e-bay). Sony have started to show that they do have some tricks up there sleeves- MS should start pulling something out of the hat sooner rather than later imo.
